(313) Seiji? The hell?
Seiji is a UK producer who has been all over the map stylistically, from Drum Bass, to Broken Beat to who knows what. He's started sporadically giving away tracks at http://www.seiji.co.uk/ Where you can get this track: http://www.seiji.co.uk/file_download/5/Ravin+A.mp3 which an insanely catchy track that is all over the place. 707 kick? Breakbeats? 303 Line? Detroit-style chunky piano chords? It's cheeky to pitch all those elements into one track, but it's rare that it all hangs together this well.

I will also be attending, not that I am anyone special, but I got one of Todd's shirts last year and hope to see some of'em around the festival! pgh / technoir audio will be in the D yet again. I've yet to miss a festival, so I'm looking forward to this annual rite of passage. on the Music front: Just in time for the Stewart Walker event here in Pittsburgh last Friday, we got in the tests for TNA 009 from Arne Weinberg, and TNA 010 from Shawn Rudiman. I'll post full details, sound clips and all other pertinent information in near future. Not to start another flame war about vinyl vs. CD/mp3, but for my money there's nothing better then debuting a new slab of wax to a receptive crowd. I get chills each and every time. jw On Wed, May 6, 2009 at 11:50 AM, Lori Draper girly...@gmail.com wrote: I will also be attending, not that I am anyone special, but I got one of Todd's shirts last year and hope to see some of'em around the festival! I'm curious if this is the same Seiji I went to Uni with in Liverpool. He was from Japan, and he was a very talented and diverse creative mind. I wouldn't be surprised if he managed to blend various genres of music and make it seamless. In all aspects of the work I saw him do, he had this talent..., from producing events, to creating video, to composing music, to operating interactive midi systems, to web design. I remember one day he asked me to teach him web design, and two days later he took the 1 hour tutorial I had given him and taught himself how to make a website. Pure genius. Wow, sounds like a return to the original sound of West London House aka Broken Beat - which is exactly that, all those elements into one track that all hangs together this well. it's the reason I fell in lrve with it Nice one Seiji! Thank you Kent for posting this. Seiji's a fantastic producer but a lot of his beats for a while seemed to get caught in his own making (Loose Lips) maybe I was just hearing that Loose Lips beat - was very catchy and was hot for a while I'll have to grab these and more MEK kent williams chaircrus...@gmail.com wrote on 05/06/2009 10:31:41 AM: Seiji is a UK producer who has been all over the map stylistically, from Drum Bass, to Broken Beat to who knows what.
