Greetings 313! I hope you're right Robin, I'm making my debut appearance at Movement this year... finally making the pilgrimage to techno mecca : ) Started the Detroit warm-up by catching Iggy the Stooges live the other week (playing through Raw Power.) Next up it's a 6 hour Derrick May set at Bleep, that should be a fitting send-off. RE: (313) DEMF prediction [plus cheeky Bleep43 re-spam about this Friday]
Cool. I'll try and listen out for it when out. Ahem. This isn't a bad time to RE-SPAM the list with something fun coming up on Friday. Stop reading now, if you're averse. Speaking of Transmat, label owner Derrick May, AKA techno demi-god Mayday will in fact be playing a six-hour set for us at Bleep43 this Friday, in London. Mr. May has promised that as it's us, he will not be bringing his box of 'Super-Club Techno.' Instead, expect a set of fun, across the board, deeper techy gear, house, disco and whatever takes his fancy, a la his best sets at Lost, DEMF 2000, and Mix-Up Vol. 5. Hope to see a whole lot of you there. http://www.bleep43.com/ Cheers. Indeed i’m really excited about this party : http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?165068 And maybe this one : http://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?158105 Anyway i hope Derrick May will perform at “Metroplex 25” something close to what he promised you for the Bleep43. (313) New Omar S - Accciiiiiiiidddddd
New Omar S - proper old school Acid Track in Mid 90's - really liking this as it doesn't mess with the formula but it doesn't rip off anything too obviously either. It's the sort of track where you notice the reverb on the handclap has been slowly spacing you out for about two minutes and you never noticed it at first. Other side is Ultra Fine - not quite as on fire as the 90's track but still good. cheers Jason

Re: (313) Shopping for Music in Detroit!!
I went in to Detroit Threads one time in 1999 and they had 2/3 of the Concept box set with the box for $5 a record. I couldn't afford all of the records, so I only bought 2 of them. I am still kicking myself. I am also suspicious of Boomkat, but that is because everything there is a record of the year judging by the reviews. Can I just say that while Boomkat's over-bigging-up of everything is notorious and has almost become (well, not you guys obviously) an endearing feature where everyone knows not to listen to a thing they say, from what I know of them (I know one or two of the guys) they seem lovely bunch of people, just into their music, they're there doing what they do as it's what they love.
