RE: (313) Kraftwerk: Concerts next year
The sound at the Tate is meant to be rubbish. I really enjoyed the Velodrome; granted, the sound wasn't the best, though, but as long as RH is there, there is something magical about Kraftwerk for me. They always put on a proper do. 4 tickets for Computer World. Lovely stuff. -Original Message- From: Martin Dust [mailto:mar...@dustscience.com] Sent: Thursday, December 13, 2012 1:01 PM To: list 313 Subject: Re: (313) Kraftwerk: Concerts next year Tate clearly doesn't have state-of-the-art admin which can match the technocratic 'Gestalt' [pardon me for being poncy] of Kraftwerk. Even so, there's little doubt that Kraftwerk would only appear at a venue [nowadays] if the sound facilities were top notch. Not so sure about that Ken, the event at Manchester Velodrome was pretty poor.
Re: (313) Kraftwerk: Concerts next year
I hyave to disagree about the staging of this kind of music. I went to a minifestival night a few years back to hear Monolake, Ryoji Ikeda and Alva Noto on the same night (Ultraminimalism). When sat half way up the slope and centrally the sound was incredible and coupled with the magnificent setting is all felt rather special. I think ill try to get some tickets through unofficial channels once all the 0s and 1s have settled.
