How did they get artists on their labels then?

We don't BUY our History or our Credibility, we earn it because of
our artists and our skills.

May 17 - Brave New World Featuring DJ RAP, Paris the black fu and Ronin

2000-05-05 Thread Jon Layne
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SOLAR SPECIAL PROJECTS PRESENTS:

Wednesday May 17th 2000
At Pure Bar, 1500 Woodward
Premier UK Female Junglist
DJ RAP

Solar Special Projects, a division of Intuit-Solar, is pleased to
announce an upcoming event celebrating the launch of DJ Rap and Kenny
Ken’s latest US release, Brave New World. This long-awaited continuous
mix features the combined skills of world-renowned Junglists DJ Rap and
Kenny Ken. Already a major album in Europe, its US release on Solar
Special Projects marks an important step in the development of the
American Jungle scene. To give this occasion the recognition it
deserves, we have organized a world-class party at Detroit’s Pure Bar,
featuring the turntable talent of DJ Rap, Paris the Black Fu, and
Ronin. This event will be broadcast on the web at www.iorangepop.com

This is DJ Rap’s second appearance in Detroit. It follows in the
footsteps of her debut here with Kenny Ken at Intuit Production’s
September ’99 party, which launched their US tour. Since that time,
this duo has steadily gained international attention for their Brave New
World album and explosive live performance.

Joining DJ Rap on May 17th are two of Detroit’s most promising
up-&-coming artists. Local legend, Paris the Black Fu, who makes up
half of the Detroit Grand Pubahs, and Ronin, who has made his mark as a
steady force behind the Motor-city’s Jungle scene.

Join Solar Special Projects, Detroit’s newest record label, in
celebrating the US release of DJ Rap and Kenny Ken’s ground-breaking
album, Brave New World.
