Re: (313) Ghostly International
I just found this free EP from The Sight Below on their site earlier this morning. Listened to it a few times already today... giving me a somewhat Chain Reactiony / Deepchord sorta feeling. http://ghostly.com/releases/no-place-for-us On Thu, Sep 25, 2008 at 2:09 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: picked this one up couple of weeks ago killer release! http://www.discogs.com/release/1418372 especially track b1 ! more on the jack tip http://www.discogs.com/release/1237617 Arturo Lopez schreef: Has Ghostly/Spectral Sound put out anything interesting lately? They've dropped off my radar over the last few years, I was curious if anyone on here is still picking up their releases. The first few years of the label I thought the quality of music was quite good, I wonder if it has been sustained? I visited their website yesterday and found a new 4-remix 12 of Dog Days, which strikes me as completely unnecessary. Maybe Dear needs to put a new down payment on a house or something and needs to milk that one a little more? Have they gotten to that point where they assembly-line churn out product now or what? Thoughts? -Arturo

That looks like Chris McNamara (of Thinkbox?) on the left. He was my animation professor in college. Re: (313) 'Crater Crawlers' mix
Awesome mix. Is the track that comes in around the 36:45 mark from the movie True Romance? You know, the part where Christian Slater kills Gary Oldman and takes off with his suitcase full of coke? Me thinks yes. Now I've got to dig my dvd out and watch that movie again, and the first segment of the movie takes place in Detroit btw... even features Dennis Hopper + Packard Plant if I remember right. For breaky type stuff, and a little education on the tunes, I like Soul Sides. http://www.soul-sides.com/ Great thread, I've been wondering what good electronic music blogs are out there. (313) Muxtapes
Hello 313, It's been years since I've posted, but I'm sorely missing new and exciting music in my life, so I'm back. One way I've recently been finding new tunes has been with a site called muxtape.com, which allows you to upload tracks and share simple online mixtapes. Anyone else using this? Perfect for work. Here's mine: http://synthetictom.muxtape.com Anyway, seems like a nice service for the 313 crowd so thought I'd share, and if you've got one please send it my way. Cheers, Tom
