The first one is VERY Beau Mot Plage, but I dont think thats a bad

Oh, and I might be wrong on the title being Rej. Its just what the
file was called. *shrug*

Love it! both sides even. I picked up the LP from last year and also
'Kuma/Engoli'. They produce a wide variety of music, but its all good.

Ramon

PS: I've been neglecting the list lately, but I should be a regular
semi-regular contributer again soon.

derek.

Ame remixed Roy Ayers - Tarzan, to be released on BBE and a new track
called Excelsior (soon on Sonar Kollektiv), both played by jazzanova's
alex barck on gilles peterson's show 2005-09-11, both tracks excellent
as usual.

you'll find a rip of that show on www.themixingbowl.org

RE: (313) Ame - Rej - Sonar Kollektive

2005-09-14 Thread Stoddard, Kamal

Yo that A side is hard. I gotta see that like soon. Not too excited
about the b. like it but it comes off plain from the sample. But damn
that a side. I see what you mean about beau mot plage though. Doesn't
bother me in the least. Matter of fact, I wanted to hear that plinky
sound in a track with similar depth but harder beats (none of the
remixes did it justice to me), so maybe this is the answer?

rej is correct title. ace record, i see what you mean with beau mot
plage, deffo in that vein. i would have said it's an isolée or a henrik
schwarz record, if i didn't know it's from ame. killer, none of their
releases has ever disappointed me.

very good is also their remix for wahoo - holding you (sonar
kollektiv), reminds me of that basic channel side project round one -
i'm your brother.

and they are pretty good djs too, check:

Thanks for passing those mixes on Carlos. Loving it so far.

That Omar S edit-track with the off kilter claps (Set it out at around
22ish in the mix), gets me everytime. I love that. Sounds like a really
bad edit that shouldn't work but does.
