Damn it.

I've tried to come up with a good heckle for you.

But, I failed. My 24 hr career as 313's heckler has ended.

Thanks for the tip Minto, gonna track that record down to check.

p.s. package for you and JT leaving today : )

Erm - couple I heard recently that are not bad:

Ame - Ame mini LP on Sonar Kollektiv

Kind of odd record, quite a big Chi house influence apparent, but a bit more
overtly melodic than say Claro Intelecto - some duff tracks but some corkers as
well.

Natures Plan feat Ed Motta (kenny Dope Mix) on Far Out

This is a special mix done by KD for Far Out's 10th Birthday and it's pretty
nice actually - great scat vocals from Ed Motta as well. The mix also preserves
Marc Mac's exquisite strings - nicely done

I think both of these will be out over the next couple of weeks or so.

yeah, i second that! Âme lp is very, very good, especially the tunes
nia and hydrolic dog, both also out on 12. and they've done some
very good remixes too: www.discogs.com/artist/%C2me

also on hot rotation over here:

moonstarr - detRIOT (sonar kollektiv 037)
[i think this one has been mentioned before deep, epic track, superb
breakdown, warm keys, excellent!]

magnet/wighnomy bros. - kisskisskiss/wurzblosse (kompakt speicher 19)
[both tracks sound like an hommage to maurizio/basic channel, magnet's
track is a slow building minimal track, very danceable. wighnomy bros.
come along with some lush filtered synths, echoed and dubbed out,
perfect.]

oh and...: did i already mention that wighnomy bros. are doing it every
time, with every release? check' em out, they are incredible. imho,
actually the best minimal/maximal/micro/macro-house/techno-producers
around...:)!

sup Alex... been kinda slow on pickin up new records
and getting records to show up at my local shop, but
what I did pick up the other day that I highly
recommend is this record by:

Kango's Stein Massiv (J.M. Dahle) called Loding on
Trailerpark Recordings. guess he is out of Oslo,
Norway. This is one sweet record. Very nice production
with proper disco sensibilities and dubbed out sounds
and shuffly beats. reminded me of Danny Wang's
quirkiness and humor mixed with some the style the
Idjut Boys sort of became famous for.

Haven't heard much of the new Neroli other than the
clips from RH store page and the new Ignitor(s) sound
hot especially since I think some of them are older or
(unreleased) tracks that possibly came out on
Spiritual... Jason Brunton would probably know more
since he's the Orlando Voorn super fan.

new Juan on Metroplex? man I've been sleeping way too
long! just chillin here enjoying my labor day.

Future Beat Alliance - Lumiere EP (Versatile) - if it had been released 10
years ago it would be hailed as a classic!

Kerri Chandler - Street Musiq Vol.2 (Large) - wicked varied ep, of most
interest to this list will be the live version of 'Can You Feel It'.
Someone should sit A Hundred Birds down and play them this track. Now
THAT'S how to cover a classic! Makes a change for a cover to do the
original justice.

Niko Marks ep (Planet E) - Dope.

Madvillain - Money Folder (Stones Throw) - with MF Doom rhyming over Madlib
beats how could this not be anything but amazing???

dope dope dope! 10 which comes in a lovely green 78 sleeve. a-side is
super

warm, funky, deep, just a little abstract house...totally up there with
kdj's latest stuff, leaning towards techno in all the right ways..b-side
has

a very cool dubby cut, leaning towards dancehall, with great analog bits
floating around..nce!! last one on b-side is a beatless number built
around a nice jazz bass sample, some creaky ship sounds, lovely pads and
some more nice little sounds floating around...excelllent record. lovely
label too with green splotches on it, very classy..

ultramarine - carl craig remixes (realsoon #3)
yeahhhuhhh! the hooter remix hasnt aged a bit! great beat programming,
nice
horn sample, classic cc sounds, ohh those rolling beats...comes off like
some subtly tropical house azz-shaker, and a little towards paperclip
people

stuff maybe even..also a nice beatless cc remix of hooter is included as
well, lovely. b-side has cc remix of source, which does sound old, but
still great, classic detroit house sound, dope chezntrent style bassline,
bangin beats and simple chords, some lovely pads and strings...very well
arranged, keeps introducing new bits, doesnt get repetitive. b2 is another
very short beatless remix, well more of a filtered outro of hooter...

 2 essential records..!

 also
labrat xl - mice or cyborg (clone)
ohhh yeah this is very good, i think it edges out the abstract thought as
my

favorite out of the 7 storms. more abstract and thoughtful than the old

sad,

lovely soaring whale calls and skittery beats and little chord jabs in
labrat1, dope house speed overdriven 808 beats in labrat2 with a classic!
grungey drexciyan bass and spooky sounds from within the bubblecruiser and
some pitched around vox if you're good to go let your body
show...labrat3
goes more smooth and funky, towards older drexciya, verrry nice...labrat4
is

super slow plodding electro with spacey meandering chords and thick
gurgling

bass..labrat5 heading towards industrial techno, loads more great
sounds..labrat6 brings out the sk beats and some deeep sad underwater
pads!
a really really really great album and close to the 7 storms and james

wow. i thought that this cover was blasphemy. maybe im in the
minority, but for the most part i think classics should just be
left alone. i did enjoy the hundred birds version of jaguar
simply because it was such an interesting concept. theres no good
concept behind covering can you feel it that i can see.

on a related note, some cat on F Comm called fred avril covered
lil louis' french kiss and it was also a horrible idea.

tried to mail this from a non-listed address, seems like it's working!

This is a bit off-topic but among the last lot I got was the whole of
the Amen Andrews series on Rephlex, these tunes are MURDERERS!!!

Get a listen at rephlex.com, you won't be disappointed.

On the techno(?) front, I managed to get two cheap copies of that
Francois De Roubaix 10 (the Vibert mix is cute), and the new Mills
(Divine EP) and Twilight Scenario, both totally funked out blinders.

Also, picked up a load of Tangerine Dream and a really
cool LP by a guy called Robert Schroeder, called 'Floating Music', which
can be played at 33 or 45! From 1980, some really nice sounds on that.

Oh, got Tres Demented as well, I seem to remember it getting a knocking
on the list, but I think it's wicked, one more in the long line of
druggy, tribal-y club records with shouting on, going back to the disco
days...can't remember which ones though. F*ck.

All the best,

Andrew
