Re: (313) mills worth it? or worhtless

Has anyone decided (now that you have had it for a while) that the newer
Jeff Mills from Japan is *really* worth the $30 import price?

Question is are any of the recent Mills releases worth it?

I decided upon not purchasing Axis 19.5 but suckered into buying Tomorrow
001, both were thin on content or any really Mills quality!

Don't get me wrong I'm Jeff Mills' second biggest fan after you, but you
have to agree that Jeff Mills could sample his farts and people would buy
it!

The trouble is he's in a position to do what the fuck he wants to and
there's nothing anyone can do!

Try listening to the records before you buy them - that way the baaad man
can't hurt you !

I have an idea: Why don't all you hardcore Jeff Mills fans make your own
list? That way,
I wouldn't have ten million billion emails every day with the words Jeff
and Mills and
Japanin the subject field !!

Thanks

the biggest problem with jeff mills (besides what you have all read) is that
he is a shithouse DJ. If i wanna hear some bad cuts and scratches and mixes
that fall out of time i can go hear my little brother (who is 5) and has
about the same dj skills.

i've got a better idea--why don't all you player haters get together and try
to make some music that has half the impact on the world of techno that mills
has made in the last 10-15 years? good luck.

you don't have to buy anything. Mills doesn't dominate the techno market, ya
know. i think in my entire record collection he holds 2 spots. (probably
like .001%) Partly because i've found stagnation in his music. Partly
because 99% of the his domestic vinyl releases are ALL MID-RANGE eq'd. and
Partly because i do not hero-worship him.

Mills Mills... blah blah. We all have our opinions. But i'd bet that the
majority of the people on this list have heard BETTER. (:insert

PS. when is Mr Brikhas new transmat album coming into your shop Mr Stinger.
