Ah well Maxim, I wonder what you will do when you discover that there are in
fact *two* new KDJs bubbling under.

The other one's cat number KDJ 32 and seems to be the fabled Prince-influenced
'Freeky M.F.' (a number he performed at DEMF one time I believe.)

Now, I don't know if you can see the cataloguing details being prepared in
discogs, if you're not logged in, because this is not an 'active' release (in
discogs parlance) yet.

Still here they are:

http://www.discogs.com/release/887324

I've not heard it so, have no opinion. Still it's creating a little buzz, just
like the other one.

Apart from what Ken says I haven't heard anything recently either.

I live in hope tho.

It's a nice track loud, it was the best thing they played when he was
live in Manchester a while back.

yeah it seems like a good track for a live interpretation for sure.
very prince/marvin esque in many ways.

heard mp3s of KDJ 01 last night for the first time, kenny used to
sound remarkably how rick wade sounds! weird, cant imagine why people
pay so much for that record, its clearly inferior to the things from
#3 on. though i guess i have only heard the version of emotional
content that was released on peacefrog, but that was better than 01
and i think some version of it was on 02.

Vinyl Underground (http://www.vinylunderground.co.uk) has copies (and also 2
minutes worth of real audio clips!) so i imagine copies will shortly turn up
at all the usual suspects - Hardwax, Inner City, Smallfish, Record Time,
Bent Crayon, Rush Hour etc.

From what I heard, I quite like it, along with his latest
release on Moodz 'n Grooves - Soundscapes and Vibes. This
KDJ release is three mixes of the same track. The Moods n
Grooves release is more of a downtempo outing with one
housey track that's similar in feel to the KDJ. You can

Well, this is not a Detroit Techno list per se. It's a Detroit electronic
music list, and the music that influenced it. To that end, KDJ falls under
the Detroit part, the Detroit House part and the Detroit influence part
(since he samples much of that influential music). :)

It's a common misconception here though - it's not just a techno list.

I've not heard too many KDJ tracks but the impression I get from what I
have heard is that it's soulful, down-tempo house. Have I got it all

 Pls explain!

Nope. You're spot on there. His older stuff was more toward disco house, and
not all of it is downtempo. Certainly not as downtempo as Theo Parrish.

Techno - house it's all the same brother. What is called house in one
city is called techno in another. KDJ does indeed make souful, downtempo
