Re: [313] The Reese bass
why not dig out or go buy or download some old reese tracks and have a listen. then listen to some of the recent tunes talked about on this thread eg mr sliff, dj q, air frog, drumcode 20.5, diabla and a million others and see if you can spot any kind of similarity. I can pull out some alice deejay and find plenty of similiarities from old detroit records. or fuck, for that matter, lets pull out some indigo girls, as i'm sure there's a ton of them there too. music *is* the same. our opinions are strictly based on very small differences. or i just took apart your arguement for no real reason, much like most of the posts about this bassline. _ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

You're thinking of Bug In The Bassbin. The drum 'n' bass DJs give it up to Detroit and Chicago very, very readily, the kids are another matter. But how many techno kids know the history? [313] The Reese bass
HmI believe I stand corrected here, although I would like some clarification on this. So the Reese Bass that was used in Jungle/DNB back in 1994 was sampled from Kev Saundy? I did some searching and this appears to be the case, however, is it just a coincidence that Alex Reese was floating around at this time in Jungle/DNB, and he had nothing to do with it? That's really odd, because everyone I have ever known in the jungle/dnb scene has thought the Reese Bass comes from Alex Reese... If this is the case, what is the name of Kev Saundy's tune where this bass comes from, cause I'd like to hear it. *learnsomethinneweveryday* Ian Scott aka DJ Entropy [EMAIL PROTECTED] (bhpc, cheesestep rec., n.e. hardcore, raverporn.net, neverworld, boston) http://www.djentropy.comhttp://www.ne-hardcore.com Upcoming gigs: http://www.warblevx.net/djentropy/upcominggigs.html There is no ONE right way to live - Daniel Quinn Producers: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/us-production Educate the narrow minds, they see what they want to see.
