cheers, just listening to wales 3, cracking so far. Sure does a good
job of blocking the current WI meeting going on in the open plan
office.

p.s facebook is a much better looking site than myspace (for instance
recloose's site makes me want to yellow yawn). It can be powerfull
for its group application too, i think there there is a leeds techno
group on there which is set up well, ad is on little detroit forum at
the moment) Good luck

I keep listening Surgeon @ U Club, Bratislava, 6-12-03
again and again. Nobody else plays music like that. Totally crazy,
inspired and different. I especially like how he's mixing all those
really dark afx ambient tracks on top of driving techno tracks.

oh and it seems like that Vapourspace 1992 mix will be next big

(313) Mixes from 313 party

2003-12-16 Thread Brendan Nelson
The mixes from November 22nd's 313 party in London have finally been encoded
into mp3 format and will be online pretty soon. Sorry about the delay in
getting them done - laziness struck for several weekends in a row and now
that the Christmas break is underway I've managed to get round to recording
them all!

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone might have some handy server space lying
around somewhere to host them. I've got a server I can stick them on but
they'll be slow to download and probably at a fairly low bit-rate, so if
anyone has more space and bandwidth that would be a great help.

Thanks,

Brendan

Well I received a fair response to my post late last week. I have
something up now:

http://www.cs.nott.ac.uk/~mhl/313.html

It's basic but I prefer web pages that way, easy to navigate and quick
to load. I've added mixes people have sent me (I don't think I missed
anyone if I have please mail me). I've added mixes which I've found from
old mails I had and other ones I've come across. I've posted these links
without permission, I don't think anyone will object but if I've posted
a mix of yours and you want me to remove it just mail me.

Where possible I've added desc. or tracklisting and a link next to
members name (where more mixes/info can be found). If you have info
which I'm missing, again please mail me. Once I've received enough info
I'll try to go about standardising the format into:

mix(link) - style - tracklisting(link) - extra info

Notice the disclaimer at the top about style/genre etc. After all the
discussions on list in the past few months I decided there was no way I
should even attempt to decide which mixes are '313' or 'techno' enough
to post and which aren't. I've decided rightly or wrongly to post
everything I'm sent and anything posted on 313. The only criteria is
that the DJ be a member of 313. Hopefully this should have some sort of
filtering effect on the quality and style of mixes?

I'd really appreciate some input from everyone, suggestions etc.

Cheers

(313) Mixes by list members

2003-02-21 Thread Michael Lees

Hey all,

I'm thinking of compiling a cetralised reference point for mixes made by
313 list members. I don't know about anyone else but I'd find this
really handy, I'm always on the lookout for new mixes to listen to and
often find myself looking through old mails for posted mixes which I've
missed.

All I'm proposing is a set of links to the mixes (no hosting I'm
afraid), this could be accomponied by link to page where mix is hosted,
description (ie., 'techno' ;) ), playlist etc.

If you have a mix (doesn't have to be strictly 313 sets), or if you have
links to other peoples mixes then please email me directly links+info.
Any ideas/input would be appreciated also, perhaps a section of links to
other pages which host mixes (groovetech, betoni etc.)

If I receive some stuff I'll post a link to the page next week sometime

Thanks

I'm thinking of compiling a cetralised reference point for mixes made by
313 list members.

That would be good.
Does anyone know of anyone that might be interested in hosting some mixes
too?
I have some that I'd love to post, but have nowhere to host them...

(313) Mixes and tracks on mp3!

2002-10-01 Thread Brendan Nelson
Further to the recent thread about websites with mp3 mixes, and the interest
in the Wide booty mixes, I've put up a new page at:

http://www.sharesite.org/music.html

This features some booty mixes, and some that are more predominantly techno
or house, and will be updated regularly. It's also got some new tracks
produced by myself, for anyone who used to visit the old brelson.com before
it got turned into a porn site!

That page will be updated pretty regularly with new mixes and tracks from
myself and Guy, so if you're hungry for 313-flavoured mp3 mixes, or some
nice home-spun tracks, check back regularly.

Sorry for the spammage but quite a few people have asked for passwords to
the Wide website download area, so there seems to be sufficient
justification for posting this short-cut to the more up-to-date stuff :)

Enjoy!

Brendan

Listening to these right now - wanted to ask a dumb question
of you all - Are these tunes typical of what is often discussed
on the list?

very nice indeed if this is the case
thanks :o)
