Re: [313] Kompakt Education Please
Tristan, I have Kompakt 25 'Pensum' by M. Mayer. It has a very generic tech-house Kompakt feel to it; soft noise laden synth pads, with big bumpy basslines, and off kilter shuffled percussion, not his most shining moment (try 17 & 4, or the Wasserman rmx that he did.) While I personally enjoy all the Kompakt releases, on some level or other, I would have to say that for someone who wants the best of the best, grab Joachim Spieth's 'Abi 99' (Kom 5), Dettinger 'Blonde' and or 'Puma' (Kom 2 and 6), and Dubstar 'Shining Through (Kom 11). I would alos recommend checking out Kompakt total 1 if not for the Salz track alone (Salz is possibly the most undervalued tech label), then the Dettinger, Mayer, and Paape tracks. In any case I hope everyone would listen to the kompakt backcatalogue or what you can find of it here's a start www.kompakt-net.de weirdness for all todd - Original Message - From: "Phonopsia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "313" <313@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, January 18, 2001 11:21 PM Subject: [313] Kompakt Education Please > I picked up the Kompakt - Total 2 compilation last weekend and I'm love with > the M.
