Re: (313) Convextion @ Samurai FM
Not sure how you're getting it working without realplayer, but the direct link for the realplayer stream is here: http://www.samurai.fm/player/getsmil.php?id=1960t=audio FWIW, I'm could listen to the stream with Firefox 2 Beta 1 on Ubuntu Linux, so I'd expect you could use firefox on windows. FWIW, I'm could listen to the stream with Firefox 2 Beta 1 on Ubuntu Linux, so I'd expect you could use firefox on windows. * + Firefox for Mac. And given that facility, it is indeed possible to save it for keeps. Simply go to 'file', 'save page as' dialogue opens with default location of where the file will save (you can adjust this in 'downloads' of Firefox) if you're happy with the location, click 'save' or whatever - then you can stop complaining because you now possess a piece of history! I don't think anyone is about putting the genie back in the bottle, in fact. Ken

I haven't danced like that or got so lost in the music for years. That's exactly what it was all about. It seemed to me the entire crowd was mesmerised. Certainly unique in my experience, as far as that's concerned, and definitely one of the best sets I've witnessed. I almost don't want to hear the recording again, to preserve the experience, although I'm sure it will sound wicked. Can't wait to get my grubby mits on some of them tracks when they come out. Just thought I'd advise that Gerard's live set from his gig with Bleep43 in April in London is now online at www.samurai.fm with a live set by Plant43 and a mix by myself. They've also got the Scape and Deadbeat set at Mutek earlier this year which I've just listened to and it rocks. What's all the fuss about playing this thing? Scroll down til you see Bleep 43 Presents Convexion, Plant 43 + Toby Firth and click that link. Make sure you allow popups as the player appears in a new window.
