RE: (313) Fw: Dave Clarke Top Ten...
sweet. thanks for the info and looking forward to the reviews martin (secretly hating on you though :)) yeh i checked the last stinkworx release on delsin and a couple of the tracks are like that so I'm pretty sure it's down to his production techniques. also checking against the MOS rmx on the new one will say the same thing as they used a significantly beefier kick. doesn't make me like his stuff any less though. I'm a huge fan of his stuff. it just makes me more careful of what I mix it with, as it sometimes can sound like the bottom drops out if you mix out of a track with a tough ass bottom end. MAN! I'm drooling on my keyboard thinking about the bone promo's. Kamal K. Stoddard Turner Broadcasting Systems Entech "Bebop was about change, about evolution. Hey there Jamal. Haven't heard the bones, but sure Martin will bring you 'the word from the street'. I'm not sure if I've heard this particular Omar S, but I'm digging his other ones for sure. >I think the (relatively) new stinkworx on delsin, aedena is the bomb. very emotional, moving techno. I do find >however, that the bass doesn't come through as deep as I'd like though. Re this one, that's pretty interesting you say that, as I was listening to another stinkworx track lately on a real nice clear system, and someone mentioned the same thing to me too. I'm not sure, but maybe he kinda makes 'em like that, and the emphasis is sometimes on other parts of the track to make the dancefloor move, particuarly the hook line maybe. But he's around, perhaps he'll answer the Q! I got 3 x 10" and 2 x 12" (all white labels) from SD yesterday - I'll check the details and post up tomorrow, if that helps... Martin
RE: (313) Fw: Dave Clarke Top Ten...
anybody heard the dj bone longevity? is it new? what's it like? I know somebody's heard it. any links? i checked subject detroit's site and bone's site too. no mention of it. on another note. I think the (relatively) new stinkworx on delsin, aedena is the bomb. very emotional, moving techno. I do find however, that the bass doesn't come through as deep as I'd like though. I have loads of room to push the bottom end before I feel the bass pushing, and even more before I redline the mixer. is that on purpose? and on another note. I picked up the oasis one sided joint by omar s. and someone else. it's dope. more techno than most of the other omar stuff and (again) plays from the inside out. anybody know how old this one is? Re: (313) Fw: Dave Clarke Top ten.... January 2004
Not to mention that (modest) listmember Andrew Duke has done a mix on the CTNE 12" on Delta B (not Delta 8 as Clarke states), alongside Legowelt, 8-Bit Rockers (aka Bangkok Impact) and Luke Eargoggle. Andrew's mix is easily as good as any other the others and it's an all round kickass electro EP. Yeeah! (like the last dynarec single) Indeed - Delsin go for the jugular :) Love the title track for the deep Drexciyan vibe, but there's some evil floor-bangers on there too - killer release...
Re: (313) Fw: Dave Clarke Top ten.... January 2004
>Dynarec - The Lost Souls (44dsr/dnr2) >(Tess Till 340 is track b2 of the single) anyone else heard this? It's hot! (like the last dynarec single) track b2 (this one mentioned) is a really fierce track that sort of sounds like the mad "we are on tv" track from the Life After Mutation ep on hardwax. Hot s**t! there's also a brilliant little interlude just after this track that reminds me of kraftwerk round about computer world time. mmm. this dynarec dude is good I think, up there with ultradyne/drexciya/dopplereffekt for sure. now, all we need is for someone to organise a dynarec vs ultradyne soundclash/battle. that would be some scary s**t. _ - End of message text This e-mail is sent by the above named in their individual, non-business capacity and is not on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
