Re: (313) Norm Talley Samurai Mix Track ID
There's an instrumental version of this LP out on BBE recently It's a grower - I seems to keep ending up on the stereo at the moment. I'm really starting to appreciate his production more and more these days. > On a related note...did Jay Dee ever release more CDs like > http://www.discogs.com/release/99759 ? I had heard that he was > planning on self-releasing several CDs worth of his > instrumentals...anyone have details?
RE: (313) Norm Talley/Sat nites?
wow what do I like...k, Random noise generation, octave 1, ectomorph...most of the big guns, drecxyia, carl craig(most planet e artists), as well as most of underground resistance, Derrick May, & Mills. I like dark robotic electro and melodic techno. But I have a lot to learn and hear. Dont know a lot about whats going on locally now, as far as up and coming artists, 5th and 6th generation djs.
RE: (313) Norm Talley
also dj dez aka andres at oslo this friday :) :) slum.
RE: (313) Norm Talley/Sat nites?
thnx for being so specific. Ill have to take advantage of that info. By the way whats up with Saturday nights. Went to 313 a few sats. ago and nothing (nuthn!) was going on, most places were closed by 11:00. And there seemed to be a huge amount of misprints in the "realdetroit" It was tres bizzar!!
RE: (313) Norm Talley
Norm Talley spins with Mike Clark and Beatdown Sounds at Agave on Sunday night. I think he's sometimes a guest at the Bat Lounge in the Greektown area on Friday night--Delano Smith is the resident there I think. Also I think he sometimes spins with Eddie Fowlkes at Vivo's in Eastern Market on Saturdays. Otherwise, Fridays at Oslo have been incredible lately. Check it out. www.soft-curls.com This weekend is the Dally in the Alley, which is a fine way to end the summer--this year will be no exception. http://dallyinthealley.com/music.html Scott -Original Message- From: Chana Goodman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, September 08, 2004 9:22 AM To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: (313) Norm Talley Hey what day of the week does he spin at agave and at what time. Id definitely like to check that out. btw...just moved to Annarbor from Seattle so Im super psyched to check out as much local stuff as I can. I can finally make proper use of this list!!! Yay. chana

Re: [313] Norm Talley in Portland...
i second that. norm talley's set at demf last year was fantastic. i think it was the first set i heard last year. a great mix of deep house, jacking chicago, and detroit. the three finest genres of dance music (well, at least for me). james www.jbucknell.com > From: Frank Zappa <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Mon, 29 Apr 2002 10:57:40 -0700 (PDT) > To: 313@hyperreal.org > Subject: [313] Norm Talley in Portland... > > One of detroit's finest in house music graced our > presence here in portland oregonnorm talley came > and gave us some detroit deepnessit was a good > show (although the turntables had problems with > skipping) i really enjoy norm talley he was one of my > favorite dj's that i saw on the c-pop stage last year > at the DEMF. he handed out LOTS of cd's to > everyone...i got 2 they are very very good...i hope he > is playing somewhere this year around the DEMF...does > anyone know if he is playing??? but overall i had a > good time and i even talked to a fellow 313er > > michael > www.renegaderhythms.com > > __ > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
