No, to the extent anything sounds like anything, White Stripes sounds
like Adriano Celentano.  Mostly the White Stripes sound like a Led
Zeppelin cover band.

great track with a nice story.

celentano is singin' his own pseudo english. i read somewhere (can't 
find the link at the mo) that in those days he wanted to prove that 
people in italy just liked/bought pop songs with english lyrics (instead 
of songs sung in italian), although they didn't understand any / care 
about the lyrics anyway. so he pretended he was singin' english. i 
think there's also a term for his language: celentanesca (or something 
similar).


sounds like a very early rap song to me, in 1974 that must have been 
pretty ahead of its time.
