just got done listening to Seu Jorge Carolina CD

just put in a sampler from an act called Teargass  Plateglass
pretty cinematic hip-hop - reminds me a bit of Badawi in its dark grandeur

Sorry I gotta break thread and say...

Okay if this album doesn't take you back to lifestyles of the laptop café, 
nothing will. This is absolutely some of the best stuff I've ever heard by 
duplex. Insanely deep melodies and textures that are undeniably techno while 
still retaining that warmth and *emotion* most of us seek in the most personal 
of listenings.

Gotta buy this now. It's so emotive I can tell what the creators were feeling 
and everytime anyone hears it I know they will feel the exact same thing as me. 
   :P

Let me amend that - Teargass  Plateglass is some of the darkest stuff I've
heard in a long time

just listened to their track Look Instead at the Perpetrators Intent
which contains samples of an interpreter telling the story of a Rwanda
massacre survivor (you can hear the person in the background)
hopefully they weren't using this as a sort of dark goth gimmick - the
person's story is just so terrifying
