where have you been the last 5 years? that's exactly how it works

platinum (canadian afterhours chachie spot) set the precedent the first
year by blaring awful trance the first day. By day two- a large contingent
of fellow booth dwellers planned a confrontation- but their promotions
girl (who is not a trance fan) got them to stop before fist flew.

so can any jerk with skrilla come in and subject the movement crowds to
 whatever they want?

 if so, watch out :P

Haha...thnks for cancelling the molotov cocktail plans too. :P Unfortunately
the owners didn't understand the concept of taste and common sense.
Leaving them alone at the boot the first day was a mistake, and I spent the
rest of the weekend guarding the soundsystem.

ironically, I think the same booth at this year's festival would be one of
the less offensive, especially considering some of the groups and djs that
are confirmed to have booths or play at one this year. The Necto tent has a
few trance anf even top 40-friendly djs playing, and if the
DetroitClubScene.com booth gets approved for sound, I'm sure the..uh..
sound violations will be plentiful.

But I suppose it's a small enough comprimise to make in order to bring in
funds to the festival.
