RE: (313) new 3 Chairs EP.

I finally got a chance to really sit down and really listen to this 12
and it's among their best work IMHO

I'm seconding Matts thoughts here. It's certainly my fave 3 chairs thing so
far - and one of the best records out in a little while. (mind you, there
was a shed load of good stuff last week).

The main track - 'All Over' sounds like it could be on Main Street records.
Deep electronic house - really nice. The first track on the flip reminds me
of Theo's 'ebonics' too.

Highly recommended. Just waiting for that album to drop..!

Yeah, it sounds to me like it could have been released on Prescription eight
years ago - absolutely brilliant tracky house, can't wait to hear it on a
big system!

So did anyone else manage to snag the Moodymann 'private pressing' then? I
managed to order one from Smallfish before they sold out and got it last
Friday - it's pretty good, though not his best work ever.

I've been trying to work out where the Another dream, shattered vocals are
sampled from, it's definitely an old soul track I've heard Gilles Peterson
play but I can't think what it is - anyone else know?

Cheers,

Tom

I agree with your comments re that track.

re the sample, I don't know I'm afraid.

However - someone told me a nice little story about that track, but I'm not
sure how true it is..
apparently, it's a live recording of a sound check before a gig somewhere
in the US.

But, like I say, thats only what someone told me

You know I was thinking the same thing! BTW - Isn't a Maurizio + Theo
house collaboration track due by now. DID YOU HEAR THAT OVER THERE,
HARDWAX ? ;)

Peace,
