'Me and my peoples eyes' was also on the Mahogany Roots album. IMHO one of
Moodymann's finest moments

The Black Sunday 12 was a 2-sided ep and contained Just another black
Sunday with grandma which appeared on the album and an instrumental
version
of Me and my people's eyes. Me and my people's eyes was exclusive at
the time, but has now been re-released as the b-side on the Don't you
want
my love single on Peacefrog. Definitely worth getting if you missed the
1st Peacefrog single, the instrumental is far superior to the vocal
version
 on the album.

  2) Can anyone tell me the tracklisting on
the old Black Sunday 12 that was the
promo for Mahogany Brown? Does it have a
track exclusive to the album, or is it just
Black Sunday? I thought it had an exclusive,
but then I heard it was one-sided (which
wouldn't surprise me - what the heck is with
 Kenny and these one-sided records!)

  Thanks,

  Matt

Yeah - couldn't agree with you more
that the instrumental version is
superior. Must say, I'd like it even
more if he took the keys out. It
starts with that incredible dark,
brooding beat, very different for
him, then runs into the keys which
seem a little out of place. But the
vocals seemed very out of place.
Oh well.

my copy of analogue is one sided, one track. but it's no white label--the label
is printed (not photocopies) and it plays just fine and dandy.

1) Um saw a copy of Analog Live today:
does everyone else's copy look like this one?
The one I saw looked like a one-sided white
label with only one track that had label art
looking like a pasted on xerox. I'd tell you
how it sounded, but the vinyl had all sorts of
pockmarks and indentations, causing the stylus
to bounce around like a lowrider. I heard the
first white label for this had two tracks, so
evidently things have changed. Please tell me
there are copies out there that play without
skipping and I just saw a mispressing.
