hardly anyone was dancing until Genesis got on the mic and started hyping
up
the crowd. Chaos came on about one. Not sure if the dj was using decks

then there was the vocalist...rolling around on the floor in his trench
coat. That dude was crazy, but I loved how he ran around and made people
dance that weren't already. But again, they only performed maybe 6
tracks,
Wayyy too short. But hearing Afrogermanic live was worth it in itself.
 Overall a very enjoyable night.

Is anyone else noticing this recurring best show I've seen in Detroit in a
long time response to Porter Street gigs almost every week now? The only
reason I can think there shouldn't be a long line to get in is b/c there's
some good competition from Necto, which also seems to be going great, but
this is in Ann Arbor! Porter Street is a great venue with good sound, good
drinks and very importantly, a good crowd. Look at these lineups! This seems
like the cure to the weary club-goers ills in Detroit. Thursdays or not, if
I was in Detroit I'd be there in an instant - it's not like it's on a
Tuesday... I haven't heard a single bad review. You guys are making me
jealous.

Right on...

That UR show was great last night! The talent/entertainment, intense energy in
that room was insane! I loved it... the 2 live pa's were awesome, I especially
enjoyed Khaos. Crazzzy... those V drums did it for me. I stayed til 2, how
much longer did Clandestine play for? His set was going great as well. I will
definately be there for Octave One next week. We were deep under.

I agree 100%. Seeing them belt out Afro-germanic live was a real treat.

And how about that Silence of the Lambs entrance. UR never fails to amaze.

Buzz was going off at the end of the evening. Props to Franki Juncaj as well
for playing a hot set earlier on.

Just stumbled onto this. I really like this place, even though I'm about
600 miles away. Maybe they should think about a DSL, Realserver, and a
camera?? Hint hint??
