we found out with matthew that there is this track Osheen - my house which supposedly used first this vocal - _possibly_ even before can you feel it was originally released (original is the instrumental afaik). anyway, i have no idea when the mix of can you feel it that has the speech was originally released. i bought mine when trax uk released those 10 records in mid-nineties. sakke The vocal/speech is floating around on several different acapella records. The one I have is Acapella Mash Ups - The Best Of Old School Acapellas Vol 1...The speech in question is credited to Mr. Fingers on this record, but I think Sakke is correct on it's true origin. The track is entitled MY HOUSE, and was ORIGINALLY released on XYZ RECORDS late in the year 1986. Yes, it was used as a vocal drop on top of many instrumental recordings over the years, including Mr. Fingers' CAN YOU FEEL IT. But don't get it twisted ladies and gentlemen. I remember this discussion appeared on the 313 list about 2 or 3 years ago. (semi-oldtimer here) :) From what I can recall (wish I knew how to access the 313 archives), I think it was Terrence Parker that cleared the air and said that the acapella originally appeared on a track by a group called Italo Ecstasy and the name of the track was called My House... originally released on XYZ records about 1986. Of course, it was sampled into the Mr. Fingers track and is much more well known being associated with Can U Feel It, but that's the history behind it, from my understanding. Is TP still on the list?
