(313) Record ID
Hi, Hopefully a spotter out there can help me - I have these two records, one is an orange translucent vinyl with a black label, no info, and a black sleeve with an orange flame in the top-centre. It's got two really nice electro tracks on it. The other is seemingly in the same series, but blue trtanslucent vinyl, same label, no info, and the cover has a blue image of a head with headphones. This one is more 4/4, pretty nice stuff. I can provide clips if anyone wants a listen. Oh, there's no cat no. either. Weird, eh? Thanks, Andrew

I didn't listen to the sound clips, but I know that there is a Maurizio 1 mispress with Blake Baxter tracks on it. It comes up every now and then on eBay. Get those grey cells working again. What is the track that had a female vocal that said, 'What is house music? A unique form of dance music.' ...and another one. What is the original track that is sampled on Killabite 2? Derrick May and co used to play it a lot, y'know, the female chorus singing bop, bop, bar, bebop doop doop. If you can make any clarity out of this and know what I am talking about then any chance of letting me know what it is? Thanks in advance, scott mc

Most of Ben Simms/ Theory/Killabyte samples come off of this release, even the Basement Jaxx sample this record. And Todd sampled Kraftwerk on it so it all comes full circle. A very excellant old production. The sound quality is not great but it is worthwhile anyway. I think the actual sample is from bango or weekend but I don't have the record in front of me at the moment. You might find this still in print on Todd Terry's greatest hits on Warlock. no more demf! + record id
hi all for many of us unfortunate enough not to be going to the demf, i think there should be no more mention of the DEMF on 313 and all sites referring to DEMF should be pulled down. the sheer mention of it, brings me to a depresing state, so then i put on some records to 'lift me up', but then on realising they'll probably be played at the DEMF, the depression starts again. it's a vicious cirle :) but seriously, i've been seeing people complaining about who is, or who is not playing, but just count your lucky stars you're going to be there. hope you all have a great time!!! alos, can anyone please help me i have a record by someone called 'jackson' and i believe it's called 'dracula's on a good thing' can't it read it all. the both sides of the label are black, so don't know any track names. any help would be appreciated. peace nath

Yeah, it's RAZZ's Puerto rican lover (DJ Int.). One funky-ass record by Ralphi Rosario. Faggy vocals they may sound, but that's how ALL house vocals were back then! That's why so many people were confused and thought it was HI-NRG when they first heard House. -Proffit InFOrmer wrote: Hi Danny, Thats an old Deejay International track called Puerto Rican Lover.
