The label looked like an R&S classics label to me. .No, just a regular 12". The original came out on Svek last year, R&S put it out in February with an Adam Beyer mix and are now putting out these remixes. > > *Jori Hulkkonen: Let Me Luv You (F Communications) > > - nice house with mixes by Muzique Tropique, Nigel Hayes and Demon. Kevin McKay is still pushing on full steam ahead with Glasgow Underground Records, releasing loads of stuff: Romanthony, Neon Heights etc etc. > > *Eon: Absorbed/GM Sukka (Longhaul) > > - E-E-Eon in electro mode. > > Is this *the* Eon, that had a release back in 92-93 with a Juan Atkins remix? What have they been doing the last 8 or 9 years? .Hmm, dunno about an Atkins mix, but I've only ever come across one Eon. It's one guy, Ian B (geddit?), best known for 'Spice' on Vinyl Solution way back when which sampled from 'Dune': "He who controls the spice controls the universe!!" Since then he's been releasing bits through Mark Broom and J Saul Kane's respective labels. .Oh, I'm just a mine of information, me. TOM

*Airfrog: Bon Voyage Remixes (R&S) - remixes by Swag and Stacey Pullen, both very good, I reckon. ---> Hmm, R&S, are they still alive? *Bam Bam: Where's Your Child (Tresor Archiv) - new DJ Rush remix, actually more like a cover as he seems to have redone the vocals himself. Still prefer the original. ---> Same here. Rush's gimmick is starting to run a little thin. *Frankie Bones: Metropolitan EP (Missile) - Bones goes electro. ---> Hu? Cool! *Felix Da Housecat: Silver Screen (Shower Scene) (City Rockers) - vocal techno from Felix and Miss Kittin in the 'Kernkraft 400' vein. Good stuff, remix from Laurent Garnier to come. ---> I recently interviewed Felix and he let me hear the new album. Boy, this is something to look forward to!!! As Tom says it's largely in the 80ies kitch electropop style with a housy touch and really funny at times. Even after a quick listen-through I say: 'Buy at sight!' some new D-related releases to look out for...
...and some you just may be interested to know about: *Airfrog: Bon Voyage Remixes (R&S) - remixes by Swag and Stacey Pullen, both very good, I reckon. *Erotek: Now Playing - In Detroit (Afrosyntrix) - first release on Moods & Grooves electro sub-label, four booty cuts, more of a DJ tool. *Bam Bam: Where's Your Child (Tresor Archiv) - new DJ Rush remix, actually more like a cover as he seems to have redone the vocals himself. Still prefer the original. *Sted Sly: Journey (Metamorphic) - tasty deep house/techno crossover gear. *Frankie Bones: Metropolitan EP (Missile) - Bones goes electro. *Jori Hulkkonen: Let Me Luv You (F Communications) - nice house with mixes by Muzique Tropique, Nigel Hayes and Demon. Yum. *Felix Da Housecat: Silver Screen (Shower Scene) (City Rockers) - vocal techno from Felix and Miss Kittin in the 'Kernkraft 400' vein. Good stuff, remix from Laurent Garnier to come. Pete's Tong's essential new tune on R1, apparently, which is a massive coincidence seeing as how City Rockers is a new subdivision of Ffrr, of which old Pete is director. But I'm sure that had *nothing* to do with it... :-) *Eon: Absorbed/GM Sukka (Longhaul) - E-E-Eon in electro mode. C-ya! Tom
