Re: [A51] Tableformat and Kraken
Can you give me some IDs/advance parameter that have not yet computed ? Its better i make some, that are not already there. ;) thanks Am 25.07.2010 18:56, schrieb Frank A. Which is the correct Tool, to build own tables, that work together with kraken ? regards axel Kraken uses the tables with 100 extra clockings, and the only tool that will generate those at a reasonable speed are made for ATI graphics cards. This process is controlled by the python script found in SVN at http://reflextor.com/trac/a51/browser/tinkering/new_ati_code/GenTable.py But setting up and building the ATI shared library can be a bit of a faff. You would probably be better off with just getting a copy. That having been said, it is likely that a second set of tables will be generated later (preferably in wintertime) to complement the Berlin set, and I would be happy to coordinate computation of further tables. (We have up and till now assigned the Ids/advance parameters manually) regards, Frank ___ A51 mailing list A51@lists.reflextor.com http://lists.lists.reflextor.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/a51

Does anybody have an Hint for me ? thxs You need to edit GenTable.py - it is clearly marked where you should edit the number of GPUs to use. (I know I could use all by default) While you are at it, take some time to study the auto increment feature. You will have to edit the increment (10) and the cutoff point (690). When these settings are correctly adjusted, you can leave your machine running for weeks, and it will produce 1 table after another without any intervention from your side, just make sure you have enough free disk space. As the tables are completed, you run sort2 on the output data, and you can delete the original files, freeing up space as you go along. (You can also use TableConvert and compress the tables to free up even more space.) cheers, Frank ___ A51 mailing list A51@lists.reflextor.com http://lists.lists.reflextor.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/a51
[A51] Research Server
I have decided to setup a machine with a USRP2 + WBX or DBSRX board and open accounts for some people here that want to be able to develop/test/improve/etc. The machine will include: - Ubuntu 10.04LTS - USRP2 (with the 2 above boards) but most likely the DBSRX will be used as I dont want people transmitting. - GNUradio (custom requests for build parameters accepted) - AirProbe (currently the setup segfauls so anyone who wants to get it working is more than welcome to) - and any other tools on request can be installed. I wont give root access for obvious reasons. Any root actions will be performed manually by me. Only a few users will be accepted, as I dont want to have a crowded setup. Any suggestions or comments, please post to the list. Regards dinopio ___ A51 mailing list A51@lists.reflextor.com http://lists.lists.reflextor.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/a51
Re: [A51] Research Server
Could I also make a suggestion.. You could possibly implement a 'time share' system, where anyone can book a segment of time on the server?? [A51] GSM debugging tool
Dear Airprobe list, Dear A5/1 list, We are releasing a major update of Airprobe today that provides the functionality needed for a full USRP-to-Kraken-to-sound-file GSM debugging tool. Airprobe is now capable of: 1. More reliably decoding the beacon channel 2. Decoding the SDCCH control channel 3. Decrypting the SDCCH channel when a key is provided 4. (Decrypting and) decoding a traffic channel to a voice file The Kraken tool fits right in between 2. and 3. The code was moved to a new machine due to instability of the current SVN setup. Our production version is now maintained at: git clone git://git.srlabs.de/airprobe.git This release should end the discussion over the availability of a minimal toolset for GSM work and mark the beginning of a new wave of research into GSM. We are looking forward to it! Cheers, -Karsten ___ A51 mailing list A51@lists.reflextor.com http://lists.lists.reflextor.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/a51
