Hello,
this is a great work you've done Frank !
But this is the second time I'm doing some book transcriptions and
there is someone doing the same on his side. There was first Steve
Mansfield and Arbeau's Orchesographie
(http://www.lesession.demon.co.uk/Orchesography.abc, compare with
http://anamnese.online.fr/abc/arbeau.abc (my transcription is
complete except for Belle qui tiens ma vie)) I think we started
our transcriptions quite at the same time (I began in januar 2001,
it was almost finished in april and the last ones were typed in
june), and it's a pity we've both spend our energy on the same
project.
For Susato's books, I was not as far as Frank was, but I had only
begun a couple of tunes. I focused first on Susato's first book of
songs.
So it may be a good thing if we could find a webspace (a message
board) where we could write publicly who is transcribing what
(like for the O'neill tunes).
I'm transcriving Robert de Visée suite in Am (for guitar). I hope
there is nobody doing the same right now... I've planned to work
on Caroube french trad. tunes book.
