As far as I know, blue tooth adapters are USB devices. Simply attach it like a pen drive and you will be prompted for the installation disk. Best regards, Amiyo Biswas. That's correct, but one problem with the program is though it uses the Chinies interface and thus a bit difficult to predict what exactly there on the menu. At least that was the problem I had when I had my first bluetooth dongle and after I broke it, I swiched to the standard one and things got rectified. Re: [AI] what is virtual buffer
Hi A small correction since Jaws 3.2 when MS goofed up with IE 4.1 and from the beast of virtual buffer was resorted to by Ms using MSAA. Harish. - Original Message - From: "Wael" To: Sent: Friday, March 20, 2009 7:35 PM Subject: Re: [AI] what is virtual buffer 1. what is virtual bufferin JAWS? & why it is used? The jaws virtual buffer is a jaws utility to convert the on-screen static text into textual document such as that of ms word. let us take an example: when you try to exit from notepad after writing some letters, you will be faced with a static text message informing you that your text has changed, do you want to save? at that time, a yes, no and cancel buttons are only the available options using your arrow keys, but you can't reach the message itself because it is staticaly shown on screen. how if you are willing to copy this message for a computer technition or tutore? here comes the importance of the virtual buffer which copies the static message of your message and shows it in a new window with the complete options to navigate by letter, word, line, sentence, and also select and copy whatever you like from this text. why used? to grant the blind users equal access to all screen information as well as the print screen utility. 2. how it helps us to work? Surely, it is essential to use the virtual buffer in some windows aplications like the internet explorer, firefox, outlook and outlook express, adobe acrobat and reader, help viewer, etc. this is because the mentioned aplications depend mainly on on-screen static text. thus, without a virtual buffer, a blind user could not use the mentioned applications efficiently. 3. why it is not supporting in JAWS10 version? This is not true, all jaws versions i used is having this feature, since i started using jaws 2.0 uptil 10.0.1139 which is currently 1 week old. Re: [AI] what is virtual buffer
1. what is virtual bufferin JAWS? Re: [AI] question about Reliance data card
I have used both Reliance and Tata Indicom data cards when I was in Bangalore and speeds are appalling. They are OK for sending and receiving emails though. But for regular browsing, they are just too slow. And I would advice people not to bother with any of the GSM providers. Without 3G or HSDPA, those networks are even slower than CDMA. [AI] Internet speeds on wireless datacards...
Rediff.com March 19, 2009 09:26 IST Your wireless internet connection has just got faster, with CDMA operators launching services that offer speeds of up to 3.1 mbps. On a comparative basis, this is faster by over 20 times than the existing wireless broadband connections, and 10 times faster than average broadband connections in the country. At present, broadband is defined as always-on connectivity with 256 kbps speed on Ethernet connections (wired), while the maximum speed available over wireless is around 144 kbps. However, the upload and download speeds do not match the advertised speeds, which can be misleading for users. Users in India, for instance, only get around 30-40 kbps connectivity on a 256 mbps connection and a meagre 9-10 kbps on a 144 kbps connection during peak times, according to Internet Service Providers Association of India President Rajesh Chharia. Tata Teleservices [ Get Quote] has launched Photon+, a plug and play device that offers data speeds of up to 3.1 mbps. It claims that this is 20 times faster than existing wireless mobile technologies. It has also unveiled another product -- Power Launcher -- an Ethernet-based broadband product that offers speeds up to 100 mbps. "There is an explosion of internet usage in the country, with an increase in usage of bandwidth... the number of individual internet users far exceeded that of corporate users and the launch of these services will enable faster and trouble-free internet access," Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd Managing Director Mukund Govind Rajan said. According to the recent Telecom Regulatory Authority of India data, the total number of internet connections in the country stand at around 13 million, of which broadband connections are 5.65 million. Another CDMA player, Reliance Communications [ Get Quote] has also rolled out a high-speed broadband service, Reliance Netconnect Broadband Plus. This has a downlink speed of up to 3.1 mbps and a separate uplink speed of up to 1.8 mbps, which the company claims is much higher than any other offering in the country. "This is the inflection point for the Indian internet industry and would enable broadband access to millions of online Indians," RCom President Mahesh Prasad said, attributing the poor penetration to the limitations of wireline internet like last mile connectivity and time taken for network deployment. But are these tall claims? According to Chharia, "Their claims are right as 3.1 Mbps connections can be offered. However, will these companies provide both access and international bandwidth at these speeds? If both access and bandwidth are provided at these speeds, it's a great leap for the industry." The Cellular Operators' Association of India is not amused. The body of GSM operators has sought the department of telecommunications's intervention to stop these services, which it claims are 3G EVDO services. It is 'legally untenable' to permit select players to get a preferential headstart to offer 3G services, it wrote in a letter to the DoT.
