Re: [AI] Unable to access Gmail

2010-09-18 Thread Chetan Sharma
Hi Shadab:

Go to date and time properties then set date and time, press
control+tab twice here you will find Internet time page.
Here you have to check a checkbox
“Automatically synchronize with internet…”
Press spacebar on update now and then press enter on ok button.

Re: [AI] fax software

2010-09-18 Thread Srikanth Kanuri
Kurzweil could do that with a phone line having fax facility. if you
want to send without fax machine you should have some online account
which would be generally a paid subscription to send by uploading the
file. people say that there are some free online services that would
be sending fax for free none of them seems to work as per my trials.
some services embed half page advertisements below the text we send
which are not my choice at least.

I too faced a similar issue earlier. The laptop worked on power but did not
recharge the battery. My sister checked the adapter at the laptop end and
informed that a pin was a little tilted. She straightened the tilted pin
with her hair pin and the battery recharged when connected to power supply.
It's working fine since then (more than 2 years past).

This is one clue. Maybe it helps!

2010-09-18 Thread neelima kumari
Hello,

Hi everyone,

Mr. Punekar had provided such an interesting information. I must say
thanks to him because in this age where DJ. design music is only we
get to listen he had provided a lot of information about one
classical singer who was from Karnataka.

Yes, Karnataka is only the city who respects a lot of artists. They
not only respect the classical singer but also the singer who are
leading in this age very well. they respect not only from their
states artists but also the other states: like Sonu Nigam. Who is a
well-known singer.

Now, my question is whatever we are doing for these artists after
their absence. Why is it? Can't we do something for them in their
presence? at least they will get satisfaction.

Mr. Punekar what can we do for it. Can you suggest something for it.
I have one such a great Idia.

Thanks
have a nice day.
Bye
Take care

Re: [AI] Unable to access Gmail

2010-09-18 Thread jayinfotech
Shabad,

Since you have not access gmail for one year, you're a/c is locked . So
Gmail for security purpose is asking you all questions to reactivate. You
have give correct reply to all on line questions & also give correct login
id & password. Failure to this will be you will not be able to use gmail
properly. If possible take help of some sighted person`s help for purpose,
whom you can trust.

Hope this helps

Subject: [AI] Unable to access Gmail

Hi Friends,

I am using my computer almost after a year. when I try to check my emails
from Gmail.com, several security questions crop up and though I click yes
to all; but my account does not open and those questions don't stop. I have
set the date and time. Additionally, a Microsoft synchronisation feed window
pops up at regular intervals showing an error. Can anyone figure out what
the problem is?

Take care,

Shadab

Re: [AI] how to install multipel os on a pc

2010-09-18 Thread jayinfotech
Austin,
I think you reversed the order, first install WINXP SP3 then WIN7 , as when
you install WInXP over Win7 , boot records gets change. Hope your are
installing winXP & WIN 7 in separate partitions. But as of now other option
is use some software like EasyBCD ( freeware) for it.
Hope this helps.

I need your sincere advice, suggestions, ideas and solutions for my

Awaiting for a positive and good reply from you.

Re: [AI] fax software

2010-09-18 Thread Kanchan Pamnani
I use winfax. I am not sure if it is still available. I send the fax
directly through the modem. I donot have to print it. I also receive on the
computer by enabling receive fax. the process of receiving and sending is
accessible. The fax received is an image file which after using the inbuilt
OCR becomes readable somewhat. If you need to keep a hardcopy you can print
the fax. Please ask some old time computer dealer for the software. The new
computer guys wont have even heard of it. I have been using it for about 15
years. Once I start faxing I dont have to stand around. It goes directly and
independently. It stays on your computer till you actually delete the fax.

[AI] Online English course for students launched

2010-09-18 Thread Gopalakrishnan
Online English course for students launched

CHENNAI, September 19, 2010

Staff Reporter

An online English course, Cambridge One, that proposes to enhance the
communication skills of students and improve their employment prospects, was
launched here on Saturday.
The programme is designed to bridge the gap arising due to the mismatch between
skills demanded by employers and the learning acquired by the students during
the course of their regular study, said G. Sreekanthan, Chairman, Ebek Language
Laboratories.

It also has a provision in which companies could register and track the
performance of students who have applied for jobs with them. “Lack of good
trainers and shortage of time, especially in the case of working professionals,
are some primary reasons we thought of coming up with this application,” Mr.
Sreekanthan added.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Minister for Information Technology
Poongothai Aladi Aruna spoke about “the overdrive” that is noticed in students
who exhibit a fear of not knowing how to communicate in English.

“English is a business language that we need to be adept at without neglecting
our mother tongue,” she said.

On the need to educate people on the benefits of technology, she said “We have
more than one lakh computers in schools across the State, but people can be
truly empowered only when they realise the ways technology can empower them.”

Union Communications and IT Minister A. Raja, who was the chief guest, said the
intellectual efficiency of educated people should be directed at creating
awareness among the masses.

Technology, he added, had to be made available to people living in the “lowest
ebbs of the society” to address the “differential treatment meted to them.

Emphasising the need to preserve one's identity in today's era of global
learning, Mr. Raja said "There are certain grey areas that exist between the
learned and the intellectual, English is just a supplement that fills up that
vacuum."

The 50-hour “anytime, anywhere” self-learning programme has different “learning
chunks” that last 10 -20 minutes each, said T.K. Arunachalam, Development
Manager (India), University of Cambridge. The university has partnered with
Ebek Language Laboratories for the online English programme. Besides providing
assistance to students in communicative English – reading, writing, listening
and speaking – the application, supported with various audio – visual
components, has the option to record answers and play them back, he said. City
Union Bank Managing Director S. Balabubramanian and Chairman, Continuing
Professional Education Committee of ICAI, V. Murali, participated in the
programme.

We are the second largest producer of rice.
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a

You can cut/copy/paste text in text editor (like message editor, contact
edit window, etc) by following the steps below:

1. In the editor window, press Key1 or Options key to open Options menu.
2. Arrow down to 'Editing Options' submenu, press RIGHT ARROW or SELECT key
to open the submenu.
3. Select Cut or Copy as desired.
4. Place the cursor at the start of text to copy or move using arrow keys.
5. Press Key1 or Options key to start selection.
6. Select text using arrow keys. Note that TALKS speaks the next character
when selecting text.
7. Press Key1 or Options key when done with selection. TALKS says "ttext
copied to clipboard".
8. Place the cursor at the point in editor where you wish to paste.
9. Press Key1 or Options key to open Options menu once again.
10. Arrow down to 'Editing Options' submenu, press RIGHT ARROW or SELECT key
to open the submenu.
11. Select Paste from the submenu.

It looks like a too lengthy procedure. Once you do it successfully, you'd
find it quite easy.
