[AI] regarding scanned foot noes in word 2003

2014-09-15 Thread mukesh jain
hello,
i have recently scanned one book in image format. while extracting
it's text with abby fine reader12 in to word 2003, i could
successfully convert the book in to word format but unable to read as
it contains lots of foot noes with the arrow keys. these foot notes
did appeared at the right place i.e. at the end of each page but not
reading the contents in it with arrow keys. so would like to get it
red the same with the standard navigation keys like up and down
arrows. previously, i could easily read these kind of contents after
scanning and converting in to word format. so would like to know that
how do i make such settings that it should read continuously with the
regular text?

i am able to read somehow these foot notes by pressing arrow keys
repeatedly but jaws announces foot note pane and so on.

so please suggest the tips for the same.
thank you,

[AI] Text of a news regarding new medical advancement

2014-09-15 Thread Deepak Singla
Hi all
I found a news for which the text is as under:
September 14, 2014

A team of Japanese scientists Day 12/9 was successfully transplanted
retinal cells developed from pluripotent stem cells (iPS) to a woman
about 70 years old and this is the first time cells iPS stem is put
into the human body through surgery.

Ca clinical trials - the researchers from the Riken Research
Institute, Institute of Biomedical Research and Innovation Hospital in
Kobe, using iPS cells, a type of stem cells by Professor Shinya
Yamanaka of Kyoto University discovered development, can grow into
different tissues in the human body.

Day 12/9 surgeries first to test risk of progression, including
cancer, after retinal cell transplant for patients with wet macular
degeneration due to age, a forms of retinal degenerative diseases
cause blindness.

Before surgery, the researchers at the Center for Developmental
Biology, Riken was first created iPS cells by introducing genes into
skin cells controls taken from the patient's body. Then, this group
has created a pigment epithelial membrane, a layer of protection in
the form of retinal cells by developing iPS cells into retinal pigment
epithelium.

According Riken, during the two-hour surgery at a hospital in Kobe,
plate retina were transplanted into the patient's eyes after removal
of membrane abnormalities in retinal tissue of female patients.

The team said after the surgery that nothing serious or harm caused to
patients, namely the loss of blood.

The first patient volunteers transplant surgery is a woman living in
Hyogo Prefecture, central Japan. If nothing changes, patients can be
discharged within 3-7 days.

Speaking at a press conference in Kobe, head of the research team
Masayo Takahashi said: I am reassured that the surgery has ended
successfully. I hope this will be a significant step forward.

The team is expected to carry out surgery for six patients. Maybe it
will take about a year to determine the safety and the impact of
transplant surgery.

At a separate news conference in Kyoto, Professor Yamanaka
congratulate the team successful surgery for that: This is a result
of long efforts by which the group has made a step forward in a period
short approximately seven years from the iPS cells are created. I want
to express admiration for the group .

Nobel Prize winning scientist, said: Phase practical applications of
medical research has started from now on. I feel the responsibility of
a technological development .

People with the disease wet macular degeneration can often undergo
deterioration or distortion of vision or retinal damage due to
abnormal proliferation of blood vessels.

In Japan, approximately 700,000 people are currently affected by the
disease. Japanese Ministry of Health considered as an incurable
disease.

Professor Yamanaka won the Nobel Prize in 2012 together biomedical
researcher John Gurdon for groundbreaking work on iPS cells.

dear sheik, i tried the tool and it is taking the screen shot but
 could
 not
get the text of that captcha. yes, in IRCTC, you have to face
 captcha
 at
multiple stages. either you are signing up or signing in. while
 booking
 your

tickets and ofcourse at the payment gateway. their web page
 interface
 is
also worst for the screen reader users. however I always take a

Subject: [AI] Liaison officer for the disabled in universities.

Hi friends,

I was away from access india for the last 8 months due to some of my personal
issues. now I am back with an important issue which I wanted to discuss with
the group since long time.

UGC in its letter dated 15-5-2014 directed all the universities to have a
'Liaison Officer for the Disabled' with a bunch of other steps to be taken by
these universities as per the recommendation of an expert committee appointed
by the commission.

upon receiving the above direction, Tumkur University (through its Registrar)
has placed me in charge of the liaison officer for the disabled for the
university.

but, the UGC has not specified the powers and functions of the said officer,
privileges of the officer, neither they have given the complete report of the
expert committee.

due to this situation, I am unable to do anything as the liaison officer for
the disabled from past one year or so. I know there are many university
teachers in this group. if any of you are liaison officer for the disabled, or
have seen the functioning of the liaison officer in your university, or
anywhere else, please guide me regarding what can be done in this situation.

yours
Umesha S. E.

[AI] Success Story - Prabhakaran Stalinrani - PO in Indian Bank

2014-09-15 Thread Aravind R
Hello Readers,
As you we all know, IBPS RRB is already going on and IBPS PO, IBPS
Clerk, RBI Assistant, SBI Associates and many other banking exams are
soon to be scheduled. So, we decided to share a very inspiring story
with you all. Really, couldn't find any other perfect timings for this
success story than NOW. So, here we go

Hi readers, as you all preparing for IBPS exams in full swing. I am
Prabhakaran Stalinrani. I like to share my experience and struggles I
pass through to get this job. I hope this post will give positive
energy and give a additional boost for hard workers.
Indian Bank - Unforgettable Journey

As this title suggests Job in IB is unforgettable thing for me.

After finishing my college start my bank exam preparation for IBPS
Clerk 2012. As I failed in it because of my carelessness. I again
worked hard for a year to grab this job. During this journey passing
written exam is very tough for me.But after many failures I learn
better and got selected in written examination in one private bank.
Even I get good marks in written I didn't get selected for the post.
At the time the belief of my father and relatives on me gone. Everyone
say that you are not fit for Bank job. Some of my friends also
depressing me like why you are wasting your fathers money and stuck
here. Better choose some other field. Bank exams having pool of
competence. You are not the equipped person in this race.

I am totally depressed. My family said that we won't support you
further for your preparation.
As I don't have that much maturity to handle this situation, I did
some mad things such as walking on highway without any sense. Thinking
about this and speaking madly in night like many. My father urge me to
come back to native and stop your preparations. It is one of the most
hectic day in my life. I packed up everything and leave my bank books
alone in room. Because I think that if my father changed his mind and
if a sudden miracle happens and if some money come likewise.

After some days I got a call from my parents and said We will borrow
and give you money.Give a try and if you won't succeed that's not a
problem. We will support you. That gives a real spark in my life. I
started and it move on. After a month the relative who accept to give
the money change their mind after they come to know I am preparing
for bank .Then I know how one should change for social status.
Then with a great support of my family and friends I start my
preparations on bank exams. I frame a full day schedule for 3 months.
I write my schedule and the target for completion in my calendar.
Hardly I work hard for 3 months and finally the day came. I am going
to write the IBPS PO exam. Before I went to the exam I got bad review
about the exam Very tough!!! No time!!! likewise. But I don't lose
my confidence because I don't have any other chance. After I finish
the exam my all positive energy and confidence all gone. Exam is
really very tough. When I came out of exam hall I don't know what's
happening inside. But I attend the maximum number of questions in each
section.
I return to my native. As Diwali festival is in nearing stage everyone
is busy and happy in arrangements except me. I walk through streets of
my town by thinking that At last our friends and relatives prediction
is correct. You are not fit for bank exam preparation Prabha. I became
aggressive and blame God why a average student have not able to clear
the exam huh likewise ..Then suddenly I received a messageYou are
provisionally selected in written examination. Interview dates will
be announced shortly. Got msg from one old private sector bank as I
give the PO exam written test during the three months of my
preparation. Happiness arises and enjoyed diwali ,then I am ready to
go to CBE for preparing IBPS Clerk exam. At the time I leaving the
house the result of IBPS RRB came. One of my friend informed me and
asked my number. As I don't done gk well in the examination I told my
roll number to him and said that Please don't call me if I didn't
clear the exam. But He called...I cleared..Back to back awesome
movements in my life.
Atlast I gain confidence. I am happy because I cleared my first
competitive examination in my life
Then I continue my preparations in full swing for IBPS Clerk exam.
Finally on one fine day when I am waiting in ticket counter in theatre
for watching night show IBPS PO result came. I use my phone with lots
of heartbeats to view the result. Then the page loaded and result came
as Congradulations. I overwhelmed with a much of joy. But I got the
average mark. I got a situation that If you give your 100% in your
interview then only you get your job. I never get back. I start my
interview preparation. At the beginning I got nervous to speak. Then
I spend time to speak with mirror and check how to improve my body
language and everything I observe about me. It will help to give my
interview good. Then everything will be over. Then the judgement day
came

You do not need to install scripts for Skype if you are using JAWS 15
or later versions. However, if you are using prier version of JAWS, it
is necessary to install scripts.

indeed this was the priliminary testing on the accesible captcha
selution at my end considering three selutions such as OCR, OTP on
mobile and analytical questions which were suggested in this lively
discussion. among these I felt that the OCR is the best cause
non-profitable sites can also implement it. When it comes to the SMS,
they will have to invest for the SMS gateway. Critically, messages
cannot be delivered in a timely manner and it might delay. And third
option was considerable secondarily as per my opinion. But We can’t
rely on these OCRs if the captcha is darkest typically on IRCTC site.
Else it would work charm. I myself tested on gmail, there too it did
not work indeed. I mean to say that there was great miss recognition.
And the most concerned part in terms of performing OCR on captcha is
that even professional OCRs also fail to recognise the text if it has
less 7 font size. So think about the blackest imaged text. This is
the factual folks. So now this discussion should get more attention.
And some of the folks might use some older mail clients such as
outlook express which first downloads from older to recent messages.
Better to have recent messages first folks especially if you can’t
spare much time to read bunch of mails but even though if you wish to
reply. Use later versions of mail clients such as Microsoft outlook
2010. It has been said clearly that this solona installation tool to
save your precious time of saving file by giving the appropriate file
name and get access to it quickly. And the method suggested I think
that is obsolete cause windows seven and later versions of windows
seven have a tool called snipping tool which can take screenshot of
 any part in a click.

 Dear Sheik and others,

this service is available in windows XP itself without installing any
additional software. if you press print screen key, it captures the
screen and puts the content in the clipboard. you can paste it

You do not need to install scripts for Skype if you are using JAWS 15

is necessary to install scripts.

Subject: [AI] Success Story - Prabhakaran Stalinrani - PO in Indian Bank

But He called...I cleared..Back to
