Re: [AI] Request for suggestions for purchasing netbook or minilaptop

2014-10-05 Thread Dr. G. Janardhana Naidu
Hello Mr. rajendra dhurve,
Most of the Asus netbooks are manufactured with 3 cell batteries and
provide battery backup of three hours. Therefore, after considering
the suggestions provided in the list, I have purchase Acer v-5123
netbook of 11.6 inches screen,AMD dual core e1-2100 processor, 500 GB
hard disk 2 GB DDR 3 ram with 4 cell battery which promisses 4 hours
battery backup. But presently it is providing 4.5 hours battery
backup. Infact, I need more battery backup. Is there any possibility
to replace the 4 cell battery with 6 cell battery for more battery
backup? Further, How much cost would be the 6 cell acer battery? Does
6 cell battery support this model?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions,
Janardhana Naidu.

[AI] Solution: Show only secured content

2014-10-05 Thread Amar Jain
Dear All,

I remember someone had posted a query (actually bunch of it),out of
which one was that the IE alerts about a pop-up notification regarding
secured content.

It happens when a mixture of secured and unsecured content is
displayed, and in order to avoid the same, one can go to Security
Settings from Internet Options, choose Custom Level, and enable
Display Mix Content from Mysc. section of the settings there.

I do not remember the exact subject, so apologies.

Thanks

Re: [AI] Quick Call: 85% Indians are Offline- Study

2014-10-05 Thread Quick Call India
Hi Madhu,
You can dial Quick Call to access any information which you think could be
searched on internet.
In other words, you can think of Quick Call as your assistant on call.
Our customer care agents are empowered with internet and can be accessed
free of cost.
So you can use Quick Call whichever way you find useful provided its legal
and ethical.

People have been calling us for exam results, train status, price
comparisons, events, current affairs and a lot more.

And if you have some balance in your Q-wallet, you can place online orders,
pay bills, recharge mobile, book train tickets etc

Thanks
Team Quick Call

friends,
i hope all are doing good.
having heard about quick call in this forum i want to share my feedback
about it with my fellow members.
these people are really doing a great job be it mobile recharge, railway
reservation, bill payments, applying for exams or anything. they did it
within minutes everytime
yesterday i ordered something from amazon. before that i paid gvmc
property

tax, booked railway tatkal ticket, paid for magazine subscription and all

i advise members to use quick call for any information or payments and
become self dependent rather ask for favor from friends and family

Re: [AI] Mailing lists

2014-10-05 Thread Bhavya shah
Hi.
1. Accessable books
I do not know of a mailing list dedicated solely for book sharing. I
do remember that there was a section for sharing books on the old Get
New Vision website. Also, on lists like Access India, Keyboard Users
etc. you can ask for books.
2. Mobile Phones.
Mobile.Access India discusses about all mobile phones and their accessibility
Eyes Free talks about Android accessibility
There is an Apple accessibility list as well, though I don't know its
name, perhaps apple vis.
Hope that helps

Hello all,

In this era of communication the mailing list playiys a vital role in
information sharing, and gives an opportunity to indivisuals to learn.
I would llike to know more about mailing list for following issues.
1. Accessable books,
2. Mobile Phones.
3. Banking: Though I have already sent a request to visually impaired
banker group and response is awaited, is there any other mailing list,
association to get associated with?
4. mailing list for Cooking tips for visually impaired.

Thank you
