What about this particular Marathi movie chauriya?
Are theatres in India equipped for this?

In case of live audio described screening at cinema hall, the normal film
soundtrack comes through surround sound speakers in the usual way. Those
with headsets will have both cinema soundtrack and recorded audio narration
during gaps in the dialogs.
Cinema hall should have seats with arrangement to plug in personal
headphone or one provided by them on demand. Theses seats are like
aeroplane seats having a jack on rest arm or suitably placed. Hall should
have sound play wiring accordingly. And of course movie should be made
with audio description tracks.

Prashant

No eligibility. Any person having a valid ID proof as per RBI norms
can get a Green Remit card. Its not even required that the card
holder should be the account holder. For example, if I need to
deposit Rs. 1000 into Sachin Tendulkar's account, I can take the card
in my name which can be used to deposit money only into Sachin's
account. Unfortunately, debit cards issued to visually challenged in
that category can't be used at Green channel counters for withdrawing
or depositing cash. That was surely the case sometime ago. I don't
know the case now. In fact green channel counters is one of the
safest ways to operate the account for a visually challenged.

Subject: [DFI] Hear2Read Tamil Text To Speech (TTS) App released in Google Play
Store

Hello,

On behalf of the Hear2Read team, I am delighted to announce that the first
Indic TTS Android App was released for general availability on August 2nd, 2016.

Simply search for "Hear2Read Tamil" in Play store. If you search for Hear2Read,
it will display 3 other Apps from another developer that also uses Hear2Read
name.

Tamil TTS is the first of several Indic TTS Apps that we plan to release this
year.

I would like to thank Mitra Jyothi for their active participation in helping
develop this App. This App could not have been developed without persistent
feedback, advice and help from Ms. Sundari Venkatesan of Mitra Jyothi.

Hear2Read TTS are designed to work on Android release 4.2.2 and up. It requires
an Android device with at least 1 GB RAM and Quad 1.2 GHz CPU>

There are over 12,000 Android devices sold by several hundred vendors. As a
volunteer team we are not in a position to test the software on hundreds or
even dozens of different devices. The App has been tested and seems to work on
the following devices:

- Moto E and G

- Samsung J2

- Micromax A177 Android One

Please send your questions, comments and feedback to Feedback [at] Hear2Read
[dot] org.

Thanks,

Suresh Bazaj

(Founder Hear2Read.org)

  Hi all,

As the recruitment for POs is underway and candidates can apply online for
the same, a very important issue comes of the Captchas! how do we deal with
them? there is no alternative “Audio” captchas and nor there is other way to
solve this. Webvisum plugin for Firefox has also stopd working with the latest
update of Firefox. Can’t we collectively write to IBPS to come up with some
solution? Does this not come under “Providing equal access” to all?

Re: [AI] Chaurya - First of its kind Marathi movie released with accessible formats

2016-08-03 Thread Prashant Naik
In case of live audio described screening at cinema hall, the normal film
soundtrack comes through surround sound speakers in the usual way. Those
with headsets will have both cinema soundtrack and recorded audio narration
during gaps in the dialogs.
Cinema hall should have seats with arrangement to plug in personal
headphone or one provided by them on demand. Theses seats are like
aeroplane seats having a jack on rest arm or suitably placed. Hall should
have sound play wiring accordingly. And of course movie should be made
with audio description tracks.

Prashant

Unfortunately, debit cards issued to visually challenged are not working in
green channel counter (withdrawing and depositing cash at branch using debit
card). Green card can be used for the same which is very useful as the
customer doesn't even need to key in the pin or fill any form. There is no
rule that says green card shouldn't be issued to visually challenged. As far
as using cash deposit machine is concerned, depositing cash without card will
attract a service charge of Rs. 25 per transaction. So, the best thing is to
take a green card and use for depositing cash. The issue of debit card usage
at GCC by visually challenged has already been flagged by someone to the person
concerned.

and he is not able to use this ATM to deposit money through cash

 only used for money withdrawal.
the bank clerk said we update you are visually impaired in your

 is there any provision

Hello Mohib,
If you want to learn maths for competitive exams like bank / SSC,
Then you can use website Bankers adda and SSC adda for this.
For practicing geometry related problems you would need sighted
guidance. Also you can refer maths text book of NCERT which is
available in accessible format.
Feel free to contact me for further queries on this.

Regards,
Shantanu.
