Subject: [AI] Regarding Accessibility Issue

I hope everyone is fine their. I am Sana pursuing MBA. I want to know that is
IBM SPSS software accessible with JAWS. If it is accessible then to what extent
and how to downloadit . I am using Del laptop windows 7. I had install JAWS15
but by mistake after the setup has been installed I restarted the system and
after the system got restarted I closed JAWS and cracked it. But it didn't
crack. Then I again uninstall JAWS a long with its shared components. This time
when I installed it I didn't restart the system after the setup was complete. I
restarted only after cracking. But unfortunately JAWS is not cracked and it is
running in 40 minute mode. I even checked user control account setting and
brought the slider to 0%. I even installed JAWS17. But same problem is coming
on JAWS17 also. I am sure you will address both my queries as soon as possible.
Hoping for a positive.

[AI] IBPS study material in pdf or text format

2016-09-26 Thread Chandrashekhar Kulkarni
Dear list members,
How are you all getting on? Some of my students need IBPS exam study
material for clerk exam and PO exams. Particularly I am looking for
study material for Maths. It becomes difficult to study with the help
of Mp3 recording as navigation is time consuming. I tried to scan
sighted study material but even kurzwail does not read symbols and
mathematical signs properly.
Is there any source from where the material in text or pdf
(accessible) format is available? Or are there any settings I need to
do to read the signs and symbols properly in Kurzwail? I am using
version 11. I have Hp flat scanner G2100. Even the original hp
scanning software does not read maths material properly.
Awaiting your reply,
Sincerely,
C. B. Kulkarni

Re: [AI] VIBEWA meets union government; Submits report on visually impaired bank employees

2016-09-26 Thread Vamshi. G
Dear Yogesh,

VIBEWA is for banking and other financial services sectors. DOPT O.M
issued in March 2014 speaks about empowerment of central government
employees at work place. You people can press for implementation of
the same. Form a small team, go to the concerned ministry and present
a demo. As you know, VIBEWA had its origin way back in 2009 as an
e-group. Its only in 2016 we could do something. First, get everyone
with similar needs and ideas on to one platform. Start with an
E-group for central government employees. Discuss your problems
there. You'll find someone or the other to take the initiative. You
can discuss everything on Access India as well. But having a
dedicated group will make you focus on the same and have the feeling
of ownership of the same. Good luck.

Dear Yogesh,
VIBEWA is a banking and finance industry based association. At this
juncture, we are focusing only on the issues associated with this
particular industry. However, we would welcome and facilitate any such
development leading to the formation of a nation wide cross-industry
based plat form addressing the working condition issues of VI
employees.
As far as your hardship is concerned, you can contact us personally
for discussing the ways for coming out of it.

[AI] Regarding Accessibility Issue

2016-09-26 Thread Sana Samad
I hope everyone is fine their. I am Sana pursuing MBA. I want to know
that is IBM SPSS software accessible with JAWS. If it is accessible
then to what extent and how to downloadit . I am using Del laptop
windows 7. I had install JAWS15 but by mistake after the setup has
been installed I restarted the system and after the system got
restarted I closed JAWS and cracked it. But it didn't crack. Then I
again uninstall JAWS a long with its shared components. This time when
I installed it I didn't restart the system after the setup was
complete. I restarted only after cracking. But unfortunately JAWS is
not cracked and it is running in 40 minute mode. I even checked user
control account setting and brought the slider to 0%. I even installed
JAWS17. But same problem is coming on JAWS17 also. I am sure you will
address both my queries as soon as possible. Hoping for a positive.

I too use cellular data network via mobile hotspot which appears as a Wi-Fi
access point on my laptop. Most likely that you to connect either via a Wi-Fi
hotspot, USB Tethered hotspot, Bluetooth tethered hotspot or alike. Select the
correct type when connected and you should be able to see the target connection

Subject: Re: [AI] turning off automatic update on windows 10

Hi,
I tried to do as instructed step by step. But from step 5, I am not getting the
settings as described in the mail.
In step 4, I am getting options like "wifi, aeroplane mode, cellular, data
usage, Mobile hotspot, VPN, Dial- up".
Since I use USB Dongle with airtel sim to browse internet, I require to disable
automatic update over airtel network. When I hit enter on cellular and tab
over, I get the settings which I use to connect internet but not "the list of
available networks" as described in step 5.

[AI] Daily Eyeway Alerts

2016-09-26 Thread Eyeway Helpdesk
Dear All:

Greetings from theNational Eyeway Helpdesk

Please, follow below the Daily Eyeway Alerts:

. NEWS-

For 116 yrs, this school in Dadar has been home to the visually impaired.

Natasha Trivedi Mumbai, September 24 Nestled in a lane in crowded
Dadar is the 116-year-old home of close to 170 visually impaired girls
from all over the country. A school that was started originally as a
relief shelter for boys and girls who had been blinded in the
devastating famine in Solapur in the 1880s, the Kamla Mehta School For
The Blind now continues to house, and provides education to visually
impaired girls right from pre-primary to Class VII. The school was
founded in 1900 by social worker Anna Millard with the
American-Marathi Mission, upon being moved by the plight of the
children struck by famine.

“Initially, this institution was started in a 10×10 room in Byculla;
it was just a shelter. Slowly, the instruction of education was
added,” said Nalini Ahivale, the current principal. Gradually, apart
from reading, writing, and math, she said other useful crafts also
came to be taught to the children. “It started out as a co-ed shelter,
but then was converted into an only-girls one,” she added. Source:

Visually impaired made aware of accessible reading, writing solutions.

The National Association for the Blind (NAB) conducted a seminar on
accessible reading and writing solutions in association with the
Saksham Foundation at Aasha Kiran, a vocational training centre for
differently abled, in Sector 46-D today.

Dipendra Manocha, chairman of Saksham Foundation and Daisy Forum of
India (DFI), who is himself visually challenged, was the main speaker
on the occasion.

In all, 140 visually challenged persons from Chandigarh, Punjab,
Haryana and Himachal Pradesh along with teachers from various
institutions attended the seminar. The objective of the seminar was to
make visually challenged end users, educational institutions and
government policy makers aware of various options for reading and
writing independence for persons with blindness or low vision. A
revolution has happened in this field. However, the number of users
taking benefit of this is too less due to lack of adequate information
about the available options. The Government of India has started a
library named ‘Sugamya Pustakalaya’ in association with the DFI, which
is India’s first and largest collection of 2,30,000 accessible books
for the use of blind and low vision persons. This library is a
collaborative effort of several organisations to end the book famine
faced by people with print disabilities. Source:
