Dear List Members,
Thank you very much for all the help. Can anyone guide me step by step
how to go about for transaction through cbi net banking. Is it
necessary to create transaction password and from where it can be
created I mean through which link.
Secondly from where I can select otp or grid option. Sorry to bother.
Your detailed reply will be appreciated.

Sometimes, some of the commands could not be executed in the virtual cursor
mode. Now, instead of turning the virtual cursor off just for one stroke and
then turning it on again, the freedom scientific gave this option, that is, if
a single stroke is to be hit, just press insert + 3 and whatever keystroke you
will hit after insert+3, will pass over the virtual cursor. Any link that is
not opening should be tried this way first.

The following Icici Insurance website is inaccessible.

The problem is that as we enter on the login link, a child window opens
having different options to choose from. Like agent login, customer login
etc. But this is not accessible through the keyboard. The mouse user can
select the appropriate option but the keyboard user cannot.
I took up the matter with the customer service. They assure that the problem

Could anything be done regarding this?

2016-12-18 Thread Blind Graduates' Forum of India (BGFI)
Hi all,

Greetings from The Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI)! BGFI is back
with yet another interesting program with a visit to Chhatrapati
Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya!

About the Museum:
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, formerly known as the
Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, is one of the premier art and
history museum in India. Situated on the southern tip of Mumbai on the
'Crescent Site', the Museum building is a fine example of the
Indo-Saracenic style of architecture.

Today this building is listed as a Grade I Heritage Building and has
been awarded the '2010 UNESCO Asia – Pacific Heritage Award' for
Cultural Heritage Conservation. It has been awarded first place for
Heritage Building Maintenance by the Indian Heritage Society. The
Museum offers a perfect leisure day out for all its visitors where you
can engage with a world-class art collection and participate in
fun-n-learn activities.

The Museum has almost 30 artefacts with a detailed audio description
available for each and every artefact, thus making this a very
interesting as well as fully accessible experience for persons with
vision impairment.

So what are you waiting for? Join us for a fun-filled experience on
the 24th of December 2016 at 10:30am. There is no entry fee for
persons with vision impairment yet a charge of 40 rupees shall be
payable for availing the audio description service. As it will be a
day off for certain Museum staff, we encourage participants to come
with their escorts if possible. There's an entry fee of 70 rupees for
every escort.

The museum can be conveniently reached by taking Bus 111 from CST and
bus 106 from Chirchgate stations or by taxi service. The slots are
limited so please register yourself by giving a call to Santosh
(+919930775758) or Abhimanyu (+919819259421).

Regards,
The BGFI team

I've read the RPD Bill and would say as far as the implementation is
concerned, its a weaker law than the PWD act 1995. The office of
CCPD remains a lame duck court having only recommendationary powers in
the Bill. the relaxation in the upper age is stipulated for five years
in education, its however missing in the matters of employment. Many
progressive provisions are there in the Bill, it would be however
difficult to see these implemented. Weak CCPD and emphases on
identified posts and making section 33 independent of section 34 is a
cruel joke. reviewing of post at an interval of three years without
provisioning 'keeping in view the technological advancement' is
shocking. Retaining the phrase 'within the limit of its economic
capacity and development' is a blot on the disability activists and
the sector which marred the PWD act also. Bureaucrats have watered
down the objective of the law and have reserved discretionary powers
to frame rules to guide the law as they wish. with the passage of the
RPD Bill,The PWD act 1995 stands repealed. But what would happen in
the upcoming recruitment advertisements is everybody's guess. Though
the Law mentions that RPD Bill will be in addition not in dereliction
of the existing law, I still wonder when the president will give his
assent and new office memos will be incorporated in the government
departments recruitments cells. Till then, lets continue to languish
in the guessing mode.

Today I also heard Pankaj Sinha (a blind advocate) at a press

issue. Instead, the act emphasizes that the Government will frame
insurance policy for the disabled. It means that the focus is on a
separate policy, and not so much on universal equality for disabled in
the insurance sector. There could be many such examples. Of course,
the Act still needs to be ratified by the President. It needs to be
notified in the gazette. And the Government is also required to make
appropriate rules for its implementation. The scope for intervention
would be somewhat reduced now. Still, I would suggest that instead of
rejoicing, it is crucial for us to be not only vigilant, but to make
effective interventions at each of these levels. Good if leaders come

we will not allow the vested interests of any kind to compromise with
our rights. Let us organize discussion on this as early as possible;
