1. Many times login link or Button is not recognized by screen reader.
2. Even if we click on login link User name and password field are not
recognized by screen readers.
3. If we locate Edit fields with OCR, focus can’t be taken to that fields.
4. After selecting OTP option, we don’t receive OTP.
5. After logging in to site, I tried to take printout of ticket. But
print link does not activate with Enter button.

Thanks.

[AI] The enlightened couple with visions for the future!

2018-06-20 Thread A K Dua
Friends,

Last evening, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Mita Gupta tied the knot, at a
sprawling wedding ceremony at Chandigarh. Both are Post Graduates from
Panjab University and employed.

The list members will be happy and motivated to learn that both, Shiv and
Mita, are Visually Impaired.

Despite all the usual hassles and apprehensions of both the families, the
couple decided that they are made for each other and there is no point
waiting for a sighted match; which is most unlikely to come by.

I guess this is the most realistic and practical approach, instead of
waiting till eternity.

Please bless the newly wedded couple.

Re: [AI] IRCTC challenges!

2018-06-20 Thread Prashant Ranjan Verma
Dear George,
I understand that while writing to the government it is important to give
specific examples to illustrate the lack of accessibility of the system.
However, it must be mentioned that the points mentioned are only examples and
the remedy is full compliance to the guidelines with third party testing and
certification.
We want accessibility for everyone - the totally blind, low vision, cognitive
disabilities, mobility impaired - one arm, no fingers and so on. there is no
way to test for everyone and get their feedback. Compliance to the
international guidelines is the best way forward.
Many departments are certifying their websites themselves but they are not at
all compliant to the guidelines.

thanks,
Prashant

 Hi
Seeing AI has now an update, it recognizes Indian currency.
To use it change the channel to currency and tab on button if it
 reads
dollar. Thereafter you get a chance to change to Indian currency
 from
 the
 default dollar.
Thereafter you keep the phone about 6 inches away from the
 currency,
 You
don't have to click anything else, it will use the back camera and
 speak
 out
 the value.

Does RBI plan to give IPhones to all blind persons in the country
 >>> smile> with this development!?

Seeing AI app runs only on IOS. There is no need forinternet to do
 this
 task.

 Harish.
