Re: [AI] In which bank should I open a savings account?
Unfortunately, visually impaired customers do not get user friendly bank services and potal accessibility altogether. You have to slightly compromise on using their websites and apps from accessibility poinnt of view. HDFC is otherwise a better option as they are quite customer friendly but problem arises when we use their net banking on their portal, however, if you are an advance net/computer user, you can somehow manage the online activities. ICICI bank provides fantastic services but again there is a hurdle in using their portal for online transactions. I would not suggest Citi Bank as their minimum maintainable charges are so high. If you wish to open an account in any Government bank, go for SBI but frankly telling, no Government Bank can defeat the services provided by the private sector bank. Most of your queries and difficulties are resolved over the phone or using their online applications. Re: [AI] In which bank should I open a savings account?
Rishi, If you hold net banking and ATM facilities you do not have to visit to branch for withdrawal of cash indeed. Even it has more flexibility like you can transfer your saving account to your desired branch through net banking. I'm not sure how much you perform online transactions, In SBI there is an amazing feature called virtual cards, they just same like your debit card but they are valid only for one transaction or just for two days they will be on hold. This can be quite useful if you transact on any merchant site which accepts online payment. You can generate your virtual card from 100 to 5 -Original Message- From: AccessIndia On Behalf Of Rishi Kewalramani Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2018 11:36 PM To: 'AccessIndia: a list for discussing accessibility and issues concerning the disabled.' [AI] Any Online Music Classes For The Blind?
Hi AccessIndia mates? How are you? My name is Saaqib Mahmood; I'm a visually impaired person; I've got an MPhil in Mathematics qualification, and I'm working as an assistant professor of mathematics at a mainstream government college. How much I would like to be able to play such musical instruments as keyboard and sitaar! Are there any online vocal and instrumental classes for the blind anywhere in India? Are there any institutes --- like the NAB Delhi or the Mitra Jyothi --- that offer on-campus music classes for the blind and visually impaired people? Regards.
