Does a blind person purchase his own two wheeler or four wheeler on
his own documents? and all the vehicle papers can be in the name of
himself?

Visually impaired voters welcome Braille initiative
Visually impaired voters welcome Braille initiative
Abhishek Choudhari | tnn | Updated: Oct 22, 2019, 4:56 IST
Pundalik Borde cast his vote by using Braille candidate list
Nagpur: For the first time in polls, visually impaired voters received their
voter slips in Braille script, making the process of locating their designated
booths a lot easier. Additionally at the polling booths, they were given a
ballot sheet in Braille to identify the candidates through their index numbers
and match the same with those on EVMs.
Rajlaxmi Shah, deputy district election officer, said “We distributed around
2,800 voter slips in Braille. To ensure that the booth level officers (BLOs)
are also able to identify where these slips are to be delivered, we published
the same information in Devnagari script on the backside of the slip.”
Once at their designated booths, visually impaired voters can go through the
Braille ballot paper to identify their candidates’ index number. Shah said,
“They use the same EVM and vote according to the index number of their
preferred candidate.” So, if the voter’s candidate is at number two in the
ballot sheet, he/she will press the second button on the EVM as the serial
numbers will match.
Pundalik Borde, a visually impaired voter, said, “For the first time, I was
able to vote without assistance and it’s a wonderful feeling. Officials present
at the polling booth handed over to me a Braille list of candidates with their
index number and symbol. After going through the list thoroughly, I was
directed towards the EVM.. The candidates’ index number was mentioned on the
right side of the machine which I read.”
Another voter Manish Thool, however, pointed to an issue which seems to have
been overlooked by authorities. “There were two EVMs in my booth as there were
many candidates in fray. One machine had serial numbers from 1 to 16 and other
machine too had the same numbering system (1-16) instead of continuing the
order from 17,” said Thool.
“Thankfully, the people present at the booth were very cooperative and it
helped me cast my vote correctly,” he said.
Another voter Sayeed Moin said this initiative by the Election Commission of
India has ‘liberated’ them. “I was able to cast my vote without help from
family or any of the staff members and this filled me with a sense of
independence,” said Moin.

it could find a parking or how it moves without any human assistant?
Does it works same as Auto pilot mode in Aeroplanes?

Hi guy.
just now, I have consulted with my own bank branch officials. They
have consulted me that
you should go to your branch and ask them to update your signature
instead of your thumb impression. Write an application to your
respected branch.
Hope it works

Re: [AI] May be of interest for visually impaired car owners

2019-10-22 Thread Prashant Ranjan Verma
I think this is a new technology which car manufacturers are adopting. As
per my information this year three cars have been launched with these
features.
They are Hyundai Venue - approx.. 10 lakhs, MG hector approx.. 18 lakhs, Kia
seltos approx. 18 lakhs.
In the near future I think most cars in the 8 lakhs and above range will
come with these features.
Some after market solutions are also likely to be available for existing
cars. However, when the technology comes from the manufacturer itself, it
is more closely integrated with the car and works better.

Thanks,
Prashant

[AI] AI ATM and checkbook regarding help.

2019-10-22 Thread faiyaz attar
Dear access Indians,

Yesterday I went in a bank to open a new account. And I asked them for ATM
and cheque book for the same.

but they told me we cannot issue your ATM and cheque book because of your
thumb impression.

I tried to explain to the bank manager but he was not ready to listen
anything.

Requesting you all please send me the circular which is issued by the
reserve Bank of India or government of India where the specific rules and
regulations are being mentioned regarding ATMs and cheque books.

Above mentioned IDBI bank branch is located in shevgaon Maharashtra.

regards,

Faiyaz.

[AI] Accessibility of the hindu ENewspaper?

2019-10-22 Thread john clayton
Hi all,
Here's hoping you are having a good day whenever you are reading this.
Asking this on behalf of a friend who's wanting to subscribe to the Hindu
ENewspaper service and was wondering if its accessible with jaws/ nvda what
have you, without going through major hassel?
If its not accessible, could you guys recommend another alternative that
is?
I am also a little curious but I suppose its slightly OT, as to what
methods/ mediums do you guys end up using to consume your daly news that is
if you can be bothered enough to do so XD
I generally use google news to do so, but I suspect I do end up missing
quite a few things out there.
Thanks and cheers for any suggestions/ ideas,

Re: [AI] Term insurance plans

2019-10-22 Thread rajendra dhurve
As per my info, Religare also provides the best accidental=+health
insurance and it is common for all.
The best thing is: its premium is also very less. If you wish to buy
it from MPGB, so the charges are following:
Up to Rs50K: Rs1,056
Rs1Lakh: Rs1837
Rs2Lakh: Rs3437 couple+3 children
The best plan I found is: Premium Rs71,172 for Rs5lakh includes
couple+3 children
