I've got some normal paper currency notes at home for the children to play, it
is recognizing those notes as well which I don't think is a correct stategy. To
my impression, It is only taking the numbers out of those currency notes.

Re: [AI] text to speak and speak to text in punjabi?

2019-12-05 Thread Aman Preet Singh
Dear sir, hear 2 read tts has been shared in the list. It's computer
version is also available on their website.
For Punjabi ocr software, you can contact Saksham Punjab branch. they
often scan Punjabi books and convert them into accessible format. they can
help you about this purpose.
Punjabi voice typing is now possible because google has been added Punjabi
language in voice typing which we use on our Android. but some improvements
are still needed in Punjabi voice typing because some time it does not
recognize our words which we speak. instead of the same it types totally
different words. or sometime it types in Roman English / Roman Punjabi.
Regards, Aman.

Re: [AI] accessing imbedded links in Power point slides

2019-12-05 Thread Payal Ki Jhankar
hi Pranav,
just getting to this mail. thanks for your inputs. however, nothing of
this works. we have tried it with the latest version of JAWS, which a
friend tried; and NVDA that i have.
in the edit mode, it showed up as a hyperlink, which i was able to
play using the application key. no other way does it work.
in the presentation mode, it asks for the pointer, which when chosen
from the context menu, activates nothing.
i have had a conversation on the NVDA list with Quentin as well, and
it seems to be an ongoing issue for at least two years there as well.
makes life really difficult when it is necessary to use for work. sigh!
also,i cannot seem to copy the entire contents of the presentation in
word to use it for reference.
apparently save as should work, but, no luck there either.
any inputs there?
Best,
Payal

[AI] phonetic hindi typing

2019-12-05 Thread Vedprakash Sharma
Dear list,

I need a tool to type in hindi which gives the facility to type phonetically
like google input tool which gives us the facility to type in English and it
is converted into hindi.

Previously, I was using Safa reader which was iquiped with Saraswati hindi
phonetic keyboard.

However, recently, I migrated to windows 8.1 and it does not support safa.

I searched many tools on the web. However, none of the results were very
helpful.

I have downloaded windows indic keyboard which can be used to write hind in
English however not all Hindi letters are available.

If anybody in the list types frequently in Hindi, please share which
keyboard is the most convenient.

Re: [AI] Google text to speech PETITION UPDATE

2019-12-05 Thread Marisport A
Dear Access Indians,
After a long continuous struggle, I have installed and check the
google text to speech options for Tamil language.
First of all I thank google for developing text to speech options for
regional languages including Tamil.
I feel that the voice moderation and pitch rate and speech volume is
comparatively down when I compare with English text to speech.
Similarly, I feel that google must develop the option of automatic
switch of different languages rather than giving an option of
choosing one language at a time.
While using Tamil voice, I encountered a constrain that whenever
numbers are there in English messages, the voice read the numbers in
tamil. This could be avoided if google provides multiple languages in
auto switching option.
The tamil voice does not read some mood icons in the whatsapp
messages; whereas, the English text to speech voice could read some
mood icons and some English text in the images.
I urge the members who are submitting their review to the software
developer please take note of these points.

Regards,
Marisport.A

Re: [AI] Empathy, Sympathy, Pity, Charity, Inclusive Society – Hypocrisy!!!

2019-12-05 Thread A K Dua
Hi Shilpi, newzhook is dedicated to the issues of the disabled and is doing
wonderful work. I was pointing towards the National media, which highlights
only the V I P's and forget the awardees. at times, its not only their
achievements but even their names are not mentioned in the media
reports/coverage.

I wish newzhook all the best and your commendable efforts for the disabled
through your organisation.

Regards
