Those who are representing the disabled in various court cases are requested
not to accept this as a closure. The government must be asked to give a
clear timeline to replace the current currency notes with new notes having
substancial differences in size and colour. Nothing less than that will work
for all.

With due respect to the Govt./RBI, this is certainly a very short term
solution for the blind elite.

This is no solution for the majority. Besides, I am wondering how this app
would work when we are in a queue in a super market, railway station where
people are in a hurry and the noise levels are high.

For whatever it is worth, thanks RBI!

How is this app better or worse compared to various currency detector apps
available for IOS e.g. Seeing AI?

The app seems a good short term solution..
I am able to identify currency notes.
However, in the long run, we have to demand notes of differing sizes.
Though while using the app, one would become faster with practice, I
can't fathom using it while paying the Autowala or at a crowded shop
counter.

Hello friends,
I had downloaded the application from the App Store and had

different denomination notes. It’s working decently fine, except
needs more practice to keep the notes correctly forecast in front
of the rare camera.
Also for me once it said Rs.50 note when I had placed a Rs.500 note.
Hence it requires a few more trials with different denomination
notes, both knew as well as Old notes.
Also in my iPhone, the iPhone gets heated up quite fast while
using the app.
It seems it is using the battery power very much.

Most of the notes were clearly recognised.

We will have to learn and of course be careful.
