Pranav,

Thanks for initiating this. I'm sure they would not go away from touch
based POS terminals and it's practically time consuming to enable
accessibility features if provided in the settings; instead they should
provide one physical button on terminal through which accessibility
features should be enabled when a consumer with blindness is using terminal
and can be turned off with same switch once transaction is completed.

What email address have your written to? so that more people can write to

1st of all, congratulations for getting the first place at the computation.
As we discussed earlier, tally should made accessible for screen reader
users.
With the latest technology change, most of the students are learning maths

users.
Couple of years ago, national association for the blind Delhi organization
was took up the project on getting the scripts for tally. Now, I guess maybe
they stop developing them.

Hi all,

I have taken the first step to addressing the situation with inaccessible
point of sale terminals by writing to the rbi. See the e-mail I sent.
Subject: Need urgent addressing of the situation with inaccessible touch
screen point of sale terminals Dear Sir,

In the past 3 months, there has been a proliferation of touch screen point
of sale terminals. This is causing a massive problem for blind users as well
as anyone else who is partly sighted. The key pad is a touch screen where
there is no speech feedback. The blind user does not have any buttons to
feel therefore cannot memorize the keys. There is no independent way for a
blind user to enter her credit card pin to authorize the card when
initiating a transaction. In older point of sale terminals, there was a push
button telephone key pad which was easy to operate where blind users could
enter their pin codes independently because the telephone key pad is a
standard bit of equipment and they know the layout and can feel the buttons
before pressing them.
As a community, we welcome progress such as the new point of sale systems
where one only needs to swipe the card. However, inaccessible touch screens
need to be addressed urgently. There are several solutions available which
make these terminals speak and are used in other countries such as the USA.

Could you please direct all merchants to install accessible POS terminals?

We are happy to work with the RBI and look forward to constructive dialogue.

Hello,

IDM has per computer license. In order to use IDM on several computers at
the same time you'll have to obtain licenses for each one. IDM can
automatically detect if it is being used on several computers and your
serial number will be blocked. Also in case something happens or you change
your computer them IDM on the previous computer have to be uninstalled
before installing it to the new one or or else IDM serial number will be
blocked.

need to be addressed urgently. There are several solutions available which
make these terminals speak and are used in other countries such as the USA.

Could you please direct all merchants to install accessible POS terminals?

We are happy to work with the RBI and look forward to constructive dialogue.

Re: [AI] Quregarding Bose Frame Sunglasses

2020-02-04 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay
I used these Bose frames for a month or so. I wear glasses so I
thought I would fit my power glasses into this frame which would also
work as bluetooth headphone to listen talkback voice. However there
are some serious issues in these frames. Firstly, its fit, I tried
both small and medium sizes, but unfortunately none of them fitted on
my face as the width of the glasses is too wide. It gives a look like
sunglasses. They dont look natural glasses as the tamples are also
oversized as they conceal speakers in them.
Secondly, the battery quality, it is miserable. It stays only for few
hours with normal use. Its poor battery defeats the purpose of wearing
these odd looking glasses.
Third, its charging cable is not normal micro USB, it has special
magnetic cable which has some serious issue. I couldn't charge my Bose
frame more than 50% several times.
Fourth, its price point. It comes in the price range of more than 21,000 INR.
Therefore I wouldn't recommend purchasing these frames looking its
price point and battery quality and odd design.
If you want to purchase a good quality headset for the purpose of
presentation without covering your ears, go for Aftershokz Trekz Air.
They are available in the price range of 12k and are durable as wel.

Hi experts, In the new slab system will we be able to avail the
 deduction under 80 U?
If the system is designed to reduce saving and increase expenditure of
individuals then the Principal and interest paid towards purchase of
house will be taken for tax exemption?
What about the conveyance allowance and HRA allowance deduction from
 being deducted as nontaxable income...?
 Thanking you...

However on calls, specially FaceTime calls I observed that there is definitely

Hi,

As everyone already said, as of now the older scheme is more
beneficial for us in most of the cases.
80U deduction is available in new scheme also. The complete text no
where mensions 80U in the list of deductions to be given up under the
new scheme.

One important point, the deduction under Sec80D which is availed by
persons having a disabled dependent is not applicable in the new
scheme.

Cheers,
Ajay

Hi experts, In the new slab system will we be able to avail the
deduction under 80 U?
If the system is designed to reduce saving and increase expenditure of
individuals then the Principal and interest paid towards purchase of
house will be taken for tax exemption?
What about the conveyance allowance and HRA allowance deduction from
being deducted as nontaxable income...?
Thanking you...
