Hi Anirudh,

Thanks for your question, and that's a very valid question. The idea
is that while basic computer courses might teach you the basics of
Word and Excel, there are a lot of features that are relatively more
advanced (e.g. V-lookup in Excel, macros/mail merge/track changes in
Word etc.). While we are aware of many organizations that cover some
of these topics as well, many don't. In fact, we have received
requests and inputs from several who want to develop their
understanding and knowledge on these relatively more advanced topics.
Further, we are really looking to the community to suggest other
things that they might want to learn (e.g. do you want to learn
accessible ways of analyzing financial data, are you interested in
programmatically sending and managing your emails, perhaps you are
interested in audio editing etc.). So any inputs will be very helpful,
and please don't limit yourself to the options we suggest and make
good use of the free-form input field. We want to cater to as diverse
of an audience with varied skillsets and past technical experience.

I just went to fill the survey for a general interest.
I did not quite understand a particular thing here.
all the applications that you have mentioned asking the requirement of
tutorials are all well accessible and self-explanatory.
then, what is the need of creating tutorials on them?
and, the applications like word and excell are well covered in any

This might be due to your Bluetooth hardware  or drivers are quite 
older/outdated.
I was also having the same problem with my laptop in Windows 7 and when I 
upgraded in to Win10 unfortunately no Bluetooth drivers were available for my 
laptop.
Please check whether new drivers are available from the device manager or from 
your Bluetooth hardware manufacturer's website.

3-day workshop series from June 9 to June 11, 2021.

 

Women and persons with disabilities don’t often know their rights and hence 
accessing justice is not even an option for them. We are launching the Know 
Your Rights workshop series with the aim to create awareness about and build 
capacities on laws and justice mechanisms around violence against women and 
children with disabilities.   

 

The workshops will be spearheaded by lawyers who have several years of

including persons with disabilities, women with disabilities, caregivers, child 
rights/ gender rights/ disability rights activists, law students, and all

- 9th June 2021: 5:30 to 7pm: Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act 
(POCSO)

Trainer: Dr. Aparna Chandra 

 

Dr. Aparna Chandra has worked at the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, at Yale 
Law School as a Tutor in Law, and most recently at National Law University, 
Delhi as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Centre for Constitutional 
Law, Policy and Governance. Currently, she is Associate Professor at NLSIU 
where she teaches Constitutional Law.

 

- 10th June 2021: 5:30 to 7pm: Protection of Women against Domestic Violence 
Act  

Trainer: Adv. Audrey D’Mello 

 

Audrey D’Mello, joined Majlis in 2007 as a Programme Director where she worked 
towards streamlining existing programmes around access to justice and evolving 
monitoring mechanisms. While working in the field of programme implementation, 
she acquired two formal qualifications, a degree in law from Bombay University 
and a postgraduate degree in management (specialisation in Governance and 
Accountability) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). 

 

- 11th June 2021: 5:30 to 7pm: Criminal Law Amendment

Trainer: Adv. Shikha Silliman Bhattacharjee

 

Shikha Silliman Bhattacharjee is a lawyer and researcher whose work takes an 
interdisciplinary and transnational perspective in understanding the capacity 
and limitations of the law to address systematic violence for marginalized 
communities, including persons with disabilities, women, and labour migrants. 
Shikha holds a BA in English and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration from Yale 
University, a JD and Certificate in Global Human Rights from University of 
Pennsylvania Law School, and is pursuing a PhD in Jurisprudence and Social 
Policy from University of California, Berkeley. Amongst her many research 
publications, Shikha is the co-author of the Human Rights Watch report 
“Invisible Victims of Sexual Violence: women with disabilities and access to 
justice in India”.
