Re: [AI] elevators with touch screen panels

2021-07-04 Thread Vetrivel Murugan Adhimoolam
Hi Nidhi,

One option is to have dot locator pasted on each numbers and that way
at least you should be able to press the button of the desired floor.
But that's just the short term solution. The long term solution is to
make the building owner to change the panel of the elevator to make
sure that the building is in compliance with the accesibility act.

HI all

Hope all of you are doing reasonably well in these challenging times.

I am reaching out to request for solutions and work arounds that members may
have tried with inaccessible elevators. Are there specific solutions that
could be implemented when a building has touch panels instead of tactile
buttons? Of course in addition to advocacy with the Housing society /
developers to change / alter this.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [AI] AC accessibility

2021-07-04 Thread Ajay Minocha
Hi,

If by accessible you mean talking then I don't think so.
However, LG, Samsung and Panasonic have some models which can be
controlled through Alexa/ Google Assistant by giving relevant voice
commands.
You can call me on the mobile number given below if you want any help on this.

HTH,
Ajay

Re: [AI] Regarding Swiggy for Android Accessibility

2021-07-04 Thread Mahesh S. Panicker
Thank you very much Tanmay.
This tip actually makes things a lot easier. So in the workaround, you
don't have to double finger tap on the item, just focus on the item,
activate actions from Talkback menu...
Swiggy should still make their app fully accessible, but now we can
more or less use the app reasonably well.

Re: [AI] Regarding Swiggy for Android Accessibility

2021-07-04 Thread Tanmay Srivastava
Hi,

Add button should be recognized with talkback.

But currently what you can do is, open the talkback menu.

There will be an option called "actions" click on that.

And you will get all the options.
