Re: [AI] Latest issue on gMail web view

2021-09-22 Thread Avichal Bhatnagar
The issue is resolved now, so I guess that was some kind of a
technical glitch on part of gmail.
I don't think that they'll be doing away with basic html view anytime
soon, cause in lot of geographical locations, access to high speed
internet is still a distant dream.
Owing to this problem, facebook also launched facebook light some
years ago which consumes very less data.

2021-09-22 Thread Aarush Bhat
Indeed, that is what I've hurd as well. Although for me personally it never
has really been an issue since gmail always worked fine for me on standard
view, especially with the constant accessibility improvements and
implementation of several handy keyboard shortcuts. That said, for those
not comfortable with the moderately advanced web interface of standard
view, you might want to look into native email clients such as m client or
thunderbird.
There is also the win10 mail client but for me that's always been shaky at
best, unusable at wurse.

2021-09-22 Thread Vaishnavi Jayakumar
 *Also, what do you think of MSJE idea of departmentwise guidelines*

❗during the eci meet, Tarika Roy from Ministry said something alarming.
That each dept was going to bring out its own accessibility guidelines
before December 2021

This is alarming, I'd heard recently of this, but never thought our own
ministry would be behind this.

As it is Road Transport Ministry has come out with a draft.

Having so many competing manuals will be a mess.

We need just 1 overarching accessibility code that is available on an
official website as HTML that departments can easily link to.

Furthermore the Harmonised Guidelines, GIGW and ARAI AIS bus body code are
what makes the guideline statutory as they alone are mentioned in Law+Rules

 Thoughts 樂 ❓
