No,

This request should be forwarded/redirected to Manjul Publishing House
who has translated the whole series in Hindi.

I'm not sure whether they will listen or not, but at least we can try.

I am just super crazy about harry potter, and have probably

All that to say is that I have always wanted to experience the

any versions that were accessible
The closest I ever came to them before Sugamya Pustakalaya was
when I found .pdf versions which were in hindi, but the hindi
was formed by using English letters, the whys of such a thing

If anyone has any ideas or books, do let me know.
Thank you, if you have read so far and or are able to help,

Hello Nirmal,
Why the last place I would have ever looked for it would have been on
bookshare, as I never find what I want on there, so huge thanks for
pointing that out.
My Nvda doesn't seem to enjoy hindi as much though, keeps on crashing, so
I won't give up on those NIVH audios just yet, but will back these up just
in case, too.
you sir, made my day, thank you lots.

A great achievement really, Congratulations!

I would just like to add here that Asif was my first computer teacher when
he was a student at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and I was already 11 years
in service. I was astonished how he could work on computer listening to a
mechanical voice. Now he is well placed in Price Water House.

Hope to hear more on Asif in future.

Wishing all of you happy & colourful Holi!!!
Proud to let you know that today I completed half marathon (21km)
13.05 miles in 3hr12min as part of first official marathon organized
by Ageas Federal insurance. It was difficult, challenging and last 2km
(1.24miles) I wanted to abort my mission but grateful to Daybed Mondal
and Prakash Singh sir who issued verbal instructions. For many of
you, it may not be a big deal but for me running as blind person
without holding elbow and running just on voice guidance indeed is an
achievement for me. I am also applying for Limca books of records for
being the first blind runner to run half marathon on voice guidance
and zero touch. My sincere thanks to family, Amit Ghosh, our gym
trainer and jBro from NAV sports for facilitating my personal
achievement.
Stay fit and hope you are inspired to adopt healthy living.

[AI] Eyeway Conversations with Dr Sam Taraporevala

2022-03-22 Thread George Abraham
In this episode of Eyeway Conversations, George Abraham speaks with Dr. Sam
Taraporevala, a retired Associate Professor & Head Department of Sociology
and Anthropology of the autonomous St. Xavier's College in Mumbai.

Born blind, his parents chose to educate him in a mainstream school and
college, after which he pursued his PHD.

Between 2002 and 2003, while teaching at St Xavier's College, Dr Sam set out
to explore the reason behind the declining numbers of blind and visually
impaired students in his college, that resulted in the inception of the
famous Xavier's Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC), one of
the country's finest resource centres for the blind. Fast forward to today,
as an Executive Director, he has been at the forefront of social advocacy,
creating awareness and addressing key access challenges for persons with low
vision and blindness.

His work so far has resulted in the amendment of the Copyright Act, India in
2012; the deployment of over 30,000 accessible ATMs in India; and the
opening up of Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)
education for blind and low vision students.

Tune in to listen to Dr Sam's inspiring journey!
