NFB concession certificate is enough to apply for photo identity card.
it is surprising that railway is not accepting concessional
certificate issued by government hospitals as they r not authorized by
railway to issue concessional certificate.

Hi all,

I feel that it will take lots of effort to solve this problem. Some efforts
are required from our side including VI students, special schools and
institutions, and some efforts are required from examination conducting
bodies. Don't know how many years it will take to solve this problem. I
would like to put forward my views on the same.

·Maths should be the mandatory subject for the visually impaired
students after 8th. Students can grasp the concepts much better at an early
age.

·Some innovative methods should be developed for teaching maths and
reasoning to the VI students. Some research needs to be done for the same.

·Computers should be the mandatory subject for VI students after 5th.
School exams should be taken on the computer itself.

·An accessible examination software should be developed for VI
candidates. It should contain the questions in text as well as in audio
format. Candidates can understand the mathematical equation by listening to
the audio. I think it is feasible and might not cost much. However, all of
your thoughts are welcomed for the same.

·There should be no dependency on scribe. VI candidates should
appear for their exam on their own. I personally feel that the candidate
should know how to operate a computer if he/she is appearing for the exam.

·Lastly, as the discussion is going on for so many days, let's work
upon the same.

To delete the folder, first go to particular folder which you want to delete 
then press shift+F6, the triviu dialogue box will appear then keep your focus 
on folder which needs to be deleted carefully so you do not end up with 
deleting wrong folder and press delete key. It will ask you again if you want 
to send this folder to delete items  yes or no.

You must first clarify whether you want to get Railway Concession Pass to
be used online or Railway Concession Pass to be used offline.

Hi All
I was too keeping mum on the issue cause we have had lengthy
discussion on AI many a times in the past.
Anyway let me again put forward my views with regard to this news
report. The news report in focus has many vague details. The media
house should have revealed the name of the coaching institute which
charges hefty fees. There is no fault of the blind candidates. They
are just following the rules made by the concerned department working
under the government of India. The disability department also been
cited in the report wherein official informed that no such complaint
has ever been received.  The Om on scribe rules categorically states
that Invigilation is mandated and it should be strictly adhered to.
Amidst widespread inequities in Indian educational set up; accessible
examination is a far cry. What we get in Delhi and Bengalure after
persistent struggle thousands of other blind friends in other parts of
the country just lament on their predicament. Authorities know their
lethargic inaptitude in fascilitating  equal playing field to blind
candidates during the examination. Why can't they provide question
papers in Braille? why can't they provide thousands of computers
enabled with screen reading softwares so that blind candidates can
write their exam on their own? what option then they have other than
going with scribes? and scribes are not roaming on the road to be ever
ready to write exam for 3 hours without any remuneration. Why can't
recruitment agencies provide remuneration to scribes if they
themselves can't arrange people to write exams? these are piercing
questions no one want to entertain. RBI has set a good example wherein
the Bank itself provide scribes to its VI employees for promotional
examination and provide remuneration to those who give their time to
write exam.

I have not come across any CAPTCHA's when downloading form 26AS from the 
TRACES website.



After logging on to the Income-tax website, go to E-file option on the 
dashboard & select Income-tax returns. From the Returns sub-menu, select 
View Form 26AS & follow the on-screen prompts. You will be taken to the 
TRACES website & can download form 26AS without any CAPTCHA.

TIN.NSDL website, rest page is accessible with screen reader. Their 
should be a text based captcha. But, Income tax and NSDL, both are

needs emphasis.
All judicial institutions must ensure that the judgments and orders being

them do not carry improperly placed watermarks as they end up making the
documents
inaccessible for persons with visual disability who use screen readers to
access them.
On the same note, courts and tribunals must also ensure that the version of
the
judgments and orders uploaded is accessible and signed using digital
signatures. They
should not be scanned versions of printed copies. The practice of printing
and scanning
documents is a futile and time-consuming process which does not serve any
purpose."
