Sugamya Pustakalaya does not record or convert any book on its own. Sugamya
Pustakalaya is an online library where various NGOs are uploading the books
converted by them.
Audio recording of a book is a time consuming and expensive affair if decent
quality is to be achieved. Not every book can be recorded, no one has the
resources for it.
And then learners do not always want the audio version, eBook is being
increasingly preferred.
In Sugamya Pustakalaya audio books in DAISY format, eBooks in EPUB format and
some Braille files are also available. All books are accessible and the
collection keeps growing.

I carefully noticed that if I keep focus on the play/pause button at the time
of starting reading, I can tap on it again to stop reading. But if somehow the
play/pause button loses focus, I can't locate the play/pause button again. Talk
back remains active. But it becomes unresponsive.

I may try voice aloud reader as Satguru suggested.

  Hi,

When you say TalkBack becomes inactive, I am not sure if TalkBack itself
becomes unresponsive, or the speech synthesis engine simply stops responding.
If the former is the case, then you can try using 2-finger double tap to Start
or stop media?
Please note that your device should support multi-finger gestures for this to
work. To determine if your device supports multi-finger gestures, perform a
three-finger single tap anywhere on the screen and see if you get the TalkBack
menu. If the TalkBack menu doesn't appear even after performing that gesture,
then your device doesn't support multi-finger gestures.

She has also confirmed her interest in speaking to the people who are

I was not able to answer her queries as I am a trading aspirant myself

 not a skilled trader.

However, I said to her that there are people with blindness who trade and
 I
have heard of such and shall try to get some people to talk to her on

My request to the people who understand trading in this mailing list is

i suggest to get sleeper ticket from the counter, don't try for disabled
coach. Now in LHB racs most of the sets don't have this coach and if so,
in small stations, this disabled coach leads outside the plateform.
hence, i prefer to get sleeper tickets from counter or if the date is
sure, then get reserve ticket for sleeper.

[AI] Information regarding disabled coach in Indian railways

2023-08-16 Thread Ajay Minocha
Hi All,

I might have to travel a short distance through train but don't have the
disability concession card.
Please let me know how to locate the disabled coach in Indian railways.
I understand that it is a 2nd seating coach, do we need to have the
concession card in order to sit there?

Thanks,
Ajay

Re: [AI] Insta reader Problem.

2023-08-16 Thread Satguru Rathi

Hi da,

You can also try different reader if the PDF is already text based and
not a scanned one. I personally use @Voice Aloud Reader and find it
quite suitable for various documents such as PDF and EPUB etc. The app
is accessible and has been designed keeping in mind the screen reader
user base. Though app is free without any restrictions, pro version
removes adds and price is also not that high around 300 rupees for life
time.

With best regards,

Re: [AI] Insta reader Problem.

2023-08-16 Thread Bikram
Hi,

When you say TalkBack becomes inactive, I am not sure if TalkBack itself
becomes unresponsive, or the speech synthesis engine simply stops
responding. If the former is the case, then you can try using 2-finger
double tap to Start or stop media?
Please note that your device should support multi-finger gestures for this
to work. To determine if your device supports multi-finger gestures,
perform a three-finger single tap anywhere on the screen and see if you get
the TalkBack menu. If the TalkBack menu doesn't appear even after
performing that gesture, then your device doesn't support multi-finger
gestures.

Hi Divya,
Great to know that you plan to participate in marathon event.
I myself am blind runner and Asia record holder for running completely
blindfolded even though I am blind without being tethered (string
attach to buddy runner ) or did not hold on to buddy runner elbow or
any physical asisstance. I ran only on voice verbal road direction
provided by my buddy runner. Sadly my achievement of Asia record
holder was not encouraged by our blind community but my heart swells
with pride when member of any blind community takes up running. I am
undertaking a new mission by running full marathon 42km in the same
format and achieve world guinness record in TMM2025 .
wishing you all the best.

[AI] Insta reader Problem.

2023-08-16 Thread Amiyo Biswas
Hello,

I was trying to read a pdf book of 428 pages using insta reader. This pdf file
has text and not scanned images.

Anyway, I saved the audio book. But when I start listening, after a while
everything including talk bac becomes inactive. I can't stop the audio file. I
have to switch off the mobile by holding down the power button.

I am using moto g62 with 6 gb ram.

Can you suggest a solution?

With best regards,
Amiyo Biswas
