Dear List Members,

I have recently upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird (version 
115.4.2) & am facing the following problem.


When I delete a mail from the Message list, JAWS repeats the title of 
the deleted mail twice before reading the title of the next mail. A 
sighted user has confirmed that the deleted mail gets deleted 
immediately & when JAWS is repeating the title of the deleted mail, the 
next mail already has focus.


Kindly suggest as to how I can stop JAWS from repeating the title of the

found that the earlier command does not exist. Only these commands

our email communication, we have found the basic HTML view in Gmail to
be incredibly accessible to screen readers. This feature has greatly
facilitated our email management, making the communication process
smoother and more efficient.

However, we want to inform you about an upcoming change: Google plans
to phase out the basic HTML view within the next couple of months. In
light of this development, we are preparing ourselves to transition to
the standard view in Gmail. The good news is that the standard view is
also very accessible, and we can continue managing our emails with

If you are comfortable with the caps key as your basic JAWS key, use this
key and press Y for the previous sentence, H for the current sentence and N
for the next sentence while being on a laptop keyboard mode.
