We at Bat Travels have been trying to reach a conclusion regarding what trip to organise during the New Years. We have shortlisted 2-3 destinations, but we haven't been able to pick one. Why not you tell us your preference amongst the three destinations along with a reason as to why you prefer it over the others. If your reason is good enough, not only do we make a trip to this place in New Years but you also get a 25% discount on the trip price. Excited much? Do take your pick from below: 1. Goa: Isn't Goa THE destination during New Years? Water sports and the parties. 2. Jaisalmer: How about staying in camps on sand dunes with a bonfire to warm you in the cold nights. 3. Agra: Ahh..the Taj Mahal. People from all over the world come to witness this expression of love. if you have a beloved or don't how does it matter. Shah Jahan was mad enough for his. [AI] Act in an advertisement
Hello Everyone. Hasn't it been a gnawing issue that actors with disabilities aren't cast as people with disabilities in films and advertisement. Well, since we at Bat Travels are from advertising background and now that we have friends with visual impairment, we have been consciously trying to fill this gap in whatever small measure we can. So when we get to know that one of the leading brands of the country is making an advertisement where the script demands two visually impaired characters, we jumped on it. So friends, all of you with an itch to act, here are the details. Two actors needed: 1. Male 50+ in age 2. Female 20-30 year old The advertisement is for Savlon. There will be an audition. Selection will be solely based on performance and the production house's discretion. You will be paid for the job when selected. But guys, here's to trying everything new. How to go about it: Send us your name, with age (do mention your gender, names can be confusing at times), and your contact number. Expect a call from the production house asking you to audition. The audition will happen in Mumbai. So will the shoot. Time to rock it people. - Team Bat 9920058200 Search for old postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/accessindia@accessindia.org.in/ To unsubscribe send a message to accessindia-requ...@accessindia.org.in with the subject unsubscribe. Re: [AI] 25% off on New Years Trip
Good point you raised there Dr. Aruni. In fact we at Bat Travels try to make every destination a highly sensorial experience. So yes, we would carry a miniature replica of the monument to touch and feel the magnificence of the architecture. We would also do a Food Trail in Agra covering all the famous eateries of the city to take our taste-buds on a joy ride. And a Heritage walk exploring the city's hidden lane-ways, bustling spice market and 200 year old sweet shops. Thank you for participating Dr. Aruni. Will keep your view in mind. - Team Bat On Thu, 06 Sep 2018 17:29:27 +0530 Dr. Aruni Sharma wrote Hello, I have been to all these 3 places of course never with BatTravels. I would keep the trip to Taj the least favorite on my list, because I could hardly find anything interesting in terms of touch and feel of the place apart from its historical significance and importance from tourism point of view. I found Sikandra rather more interesting. It’s hard to pick my favorite out of the remaining two. I had a wonderful experience both in Goa and Rajasthan. Both Goans and Rajasthani's are wonderful hosts, very polite and interesting. For vegetarians Rajasthan is a taste paradise. There are so many dishes to choose from and different places offer different types of food to tickle your taste buds. Goa on the other hand, is a paradise for non-vegetarians. You can get all kinds of sea food there. But vegetarians would be disappointed somewhat because I found the food quality not good at all. Both places offer a lot of adventure but Goa would have an upper hand because of the many a water sport activities. Rajasthan is also not far behind as you can enjoy Jeep safari and great camel ride on Jaisalmer’s huge sand dunes. However, I went to Rajasthan just last year and so I would prefer Goa this time. Re: [AI] Thailand for Rs.15750/-
Hello Mr. Sazid. Here's the reply: 1. Will you arrange visa and tickets for us (at our own cost, of course)? Visa is on arrival and costs 2000 BHT, roughly Rs. 4000. (We will help with the list of documents needed for the same). However, if you want you can apply for visa beforehand in Thai Embassy near you. It would cost lesser, if you get one in advance. 2. If yes, what would be the approximate cost? Air ticket cost will depend on the city you want to fly from. We can help you with this. You can write to us separately for the same. 3. How many members are you planning to take along on this trip? 12-15 is number of travellers we are looking at. Hope this helps. - Team Bat 9920058200 On Tue, 14 Aug 2018 15:33:31 +0530 sazid shaik wrote please tell this on this list so we can plan. [AI] Wonders of travel
Hello everyone. Saturday is just the day to relax and get into the mood to unwind. For Sunday comes next. As you relax today, here's a video that will make you think. [AI] When a man travels, his mind travels too.
The same is true for women as well. Just in case someone points out otherwise. What is it about travel that excites a human being or convinces her enough to go to an unknown location, meet new people, try food that throws her taste buds on a joy ride? Is it more than a break from the mundane everyday life? Travelling is a basic human urge. The theory goes that humans migrated from one land mass to the other to explore and that’s how the whole planet got inhabited. So it runs deeper in all of us than we give credit to it. When you get that itch to go somewhere new, you now know that it is an evolutionary trait and is not just a knee jerk reaction to a showdown you had with your boss. Travelling is also an adult need. To go to a new place, experience it on your own without the influence of your parents. Without them making choices for you. Of course, parents have our best interests in mind always. But there are moments in life when one needs to branch out. Make our own choices and be okay with failing in some and succeeding in others. And taking responsibility for our choices. That is adulting done the right way. One may say that travelling without our dear ones around is not the safest. But then, bathroom deaths are nearly three times higher than road deaths, as per a report published in New York Times. Not that we like to talk about ghastly things like death, but then to prove a point. Travelling also puts you in new surroundings and exposing you to new stimuli making your brain respond in a new way. When you are in such surroundings with new people, you will realise how easy it is to make friends. And like Helen Keller said: Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. So welcome to this adventure called travelling. We are Bat Travels, and we curate tours for visually impaired to travel with sighted as travelpals. We have been on some amazing tours in the last 8 months. We have made some real good friends in the process. You are welcome to join our ever growing community of travelers. Check out our upcoming tours at www.battravelsonline.com Some memorable adventures are awaiting you. - -Team Bat 9920058200 https://www.facebook.com/battravelsonline/ https://twitter.com/bat_travels https://www.instagram.com/bat_travels/ Search for old postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/accessindia@accessindia.org.in/ To unsubscribe send a message to accessindia-requ...@accessindia.org.in with the subject unsubscribe. [AI] Travel for the soul
Good afternoon everyone. Travelling is more than just going to a destination. It is about soaking the culture and way of living. Knowing the past and understanding the present. It is about living the native’s life for a few days. How else will you truly say that you have travelled to a particular place? Say hello to a truly immersive and sensorial tour we have planned in the month of August (14-17). We are going to Hampi and staying in a village called Kaddirampura. Locals are opening their homes and hearts to welcome us. Be ready to soak in some local culture, eat food cooked by villagers, witness ancient history up-close and interact with people far removed from our world. Where else will you get to sit in a mango orchard for your meals? From visiting the magnificence of the Vijayanagar Empire to tapping on temple pillars that make music. From a musical healing session to making jowar rotis. From nature walks to touching the intricate carvings on temple walls and pillar. We are doing it all. And not to not mention, a group of people you will be glad to have met. More details about the trip can be found here http://battravelsonline.com/tour/hampi/ And you can know more about Bat Travels at www.battravelsonline.com Bat Travels is an organization that curates sensorial tours for visually impaired and sighted to travel together as travel pals. We have been running these tours since December 2017. We are fairly new, but the reason we exist is to provide a fun travel experience where you will also get to meet new people from across the country. If you have any questions about the tours or a query about how smooth the tour can be made for you, do call us at 9920058200. The great journey called life begins when you are ready to explore. - -Team Bat https://www.facebook.com/battravelsonline/ https://twitter.com/bat_travels https://www.instagram.com/bat_travels/ Search for old postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/accessindia@accessindia.org.in/ To unsubscribe send a message to accessindia-requ...@accessindia.org.in with the subject unsubscribe. [AI] Bat Travels' next trip: the unexplored land
Hello-hello. We are Bat Travels and we have been formed to design sensorial tours for the visually impaired to travel with the sighted. On all our trips the group comprises of a fair number of visually impaired and sighted travellers. Together they travel as travelpals. The company was started in December 2017 with this motive. And we have been going strong since then. Our trips have covered Paragliding in Kamshet, Beer Tasting in Mumbai, Sufi Night in Karjat, Food and Music Trail in Benaras, Jungle Safari in Corbett, Rafting in Rishikesh and the latest being to Indo-China border in Sikkim. We take care of small things like picking you from the airport. To the big things like making sure we pull your leg. Travelling with us will be like travelling with a set of friends. Our next trip is to the Spiti Valley. This place has caught the fancy of the true travel aficionados. The major reason being that this valley opened up for tourism as late as 1992. Nestled between Leh and Tibet, Spiti is what you should do before tourists start thronging this site in hordes. If it is not on your list of places-to-go, add it to the top now. For most of your friends must not have even heard of the place. Located at a height of 3680mts above sea level, be ready to say hello to crisp mountain air. Also get yourself clicked at the post office located at the highest elevation in the world when we go to Hikkim. We also go to 1000 year old monasteries that are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. When we go to Langza, you will find pre-historic fossils of marine animals and plants lying around, since millions of years ago Spiti was submerged by the Tethys Sea. You can find more details of the trip here http://battravelsonline.com/product/spiti-valley/ If you have questions about the itinerary or about Bat Travels, do call us at 9920058200. See you soon on one of our trips. - -Team Bat Search for old postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/accessindia@accessindia.org.in/ To unsubscribe send a message to accessindia-requ...@accessindia.org.in with the subject unsubscribe. [AI] Have you been to the Indo-China border?
If you haven’t, then come with us to Sikkim this June. We have a 5night 6 day trip planned. We will be going to the Nathula Pass, where a barbed wire will keep you away from stepping into China. A Yak-ride also awaits you when we visit Tsomgo Lake. And our stay in Gangtok will be a homestay near a waterfall. Not to miss the rope traversing we will be doing at a waterfall. A visit to a tea garden is on the list from where we go to the adjacent tea-factory where we smell different kinds of tea leaves and taste some tea too. We then go to Okhrey and during our stay we listen to some live local music. [AI] Bucket list - Kashmir
Hello, Everything about Kashmir is distinct. From its food, culture, attire to music and way of living. When you travel to Kashmir, be ready to get bowled over by the crisp and cool air. And then by the fragrant smell of wild flowers blooming in the meadows. Definitely not to miss the mountain smell of pine trees. The gurgling Lidder river, and the chill when you walk on snow. The lullaby that the buoying shikara will sing you, and the flavours of wazwan. Welcome to Srinagar, Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahalgam. Welcome to our very own paradise. Amongst the highlights of the trip are Shikara ride, stay in boat house (1 night), Gondola ride, stay in a Pine Forest, one meal in a local’s house, a visit to flower market on Dal Lake. We have a special musical evening for us. Local artists will sing for our group. For people like me, it will be a totally new world of music. Since the only Kashmiri song I know is 'Bumroo-Bumroo' from the film Mission Kashmir. And that includes having the best of food. Which means we should go to Amritsar and eat some butter-chicken, chole-bhature, Amritsari-naan and wash it all down with glassful of Lassi. Because if you haven't had the authentic chole-bhature and butter-chicken, how will you tell your friends what they are missing. And then of course we will also have tempting food at the Golden Temple. Yes, food served at the langar is mouth-watering.
