Re: [AI] Hi friends, what is the exact age limit for government job seekers

2011-11-19 Thread Deepak Kumar Singla

hello

there is no generalised criteria for the maximum age for a person to be
eligible for a government job. it depends upon various factors including the
level of job i.e.e entry level or some higher positions and the number of
years of experience a person has for various positions. so i think it is
better to look for a particular position rather than taking it for general
and find out the maximum age limit.

Hi friends,

Good evening, hope all are doing good.

I would like to know what is the exact age limit for a Government job .

I have a friend who is around 45 years and is seeking a Government job.

As i know it is for 37 years only and after that a person is not
eligible for Government job , is there any age limit where it can be
extended upto certain time so that a person can try for Government job
after he has lost his sight and is seeking for a Government job.

  With warm regards,

Tiku

2011-10-09 Thread Deepak Kumar Singla

hi

give one more try:
just click on the basic html view , go to the bottom of the page and find
and click the link "learn more" . A new window will appear and there you
will find a link " Basic html view", just click on that link and see if it
works.

And, it is also available in audio format...

It was produced by Sri Sathya Sai Organisation and was aired some years back
on the radio service called radio sai global harmony. the shlokas are first
chanted in the original sanskrit and then you can hear their meaning in
english.

i think it can still be downloadable from their site at www.radiosai.org

or DVDs / CDs can be bought from the Sri Sathya Sai Books Trust,

Who said retina India is working for problems of VI?
They believe in curing and curing it only.
It is a medical organization espousing medical purpose.
Consequently, they, like doctors in general, cannot be expected to have an
awareness about life with blindness.
In fact, instead of what RI is doing at the convention, i.e. making blind
listen to Ophthalmologists, it should be doing the converse, I.E. Making
ophthalmologists listen to blind about life with blindness.
This is because more often than not, ophthalmologist is the first point of
contact for a person coming to know of her his blindness, and
ophthalmologist creates first impressions of future life of a person with
her or his blindness.
So, it is only proper that they are aware of life's possibilities with
blindness.

Hello,
It is with deep sorrow in informing all of you that few days ago when
I approach RPI for getting registered myself for the convention with
escort over the telephone I first had to wait long for communication
and then don't know phone line was getting disconnected several times.
After long efforts, I could get through.

While requesting for the escort permission for the convention, I had
been informed that common escort would be shared amongst small group
of VI persons during the convention hence, you need not bring your
individual escort.

I do understand the huge response they may have received for the
convention since it is organised at national level but my point of
concern is they should have analyse the difficulties in advance prior
to organising this event because in outdoor programs VI person feel
more convenient with individual escort at several occasions. Further
not only this but the way of replying over the phone was also very
strange wich can not be discussed on the public forum.

I have nothing against any organisation but just to let you know about
my pain. Since communication was made over the phone I afraid giving
any evidence but with the feeling that this pain can be served as eye
opener for any organisation working for the blind to be aware about
the prospective scenarios to handle the problems of vi persons before
arranging any event, I shared this with you.

How can being faculty supplement the need of escort?
Or, does it mean that the blindness of participants is only worth

Friends
It is with deep remorse that I am informing you of shameful behaviour
of

an organization called Retina India.
RI is holding a national convention in Delhi on September 24 and 25.
They invited me and my brother Dr. Prof. Vinod Asudani, for some
sessions

in the said convention.
However, all their invitations were, oral to begin with, and when I
wrote
to them for written invites they forwarded without essential details
like

registration Number.
Again, I had to plead for registration number, which they grudgingly
provided.
Anyway, the confusion and inco-ordination reached to such a level, that
they first invited me and Dr. Vinod, then rescinded the latter's
invite,

then again reconfirmed it and now have finally withdrawn invites of us
both resulting not only in hardship and anguish but waste of human and
financial resources.
The ground given for such abrupt U Turn is that we said we would be
accompanied by escorts.
Now, it goes without saying that a totally blind person requires an
escort

for effective mobility, otherwise, there is a clear risk to his/her
life.
besides, lack of escort surely compromises efficiency in outdoor and
new

surroundings to widely varying degree for the totally blind. Anybody
claiming full and effective mobility and dignity in moving about new
surroundings and in a vast campus without an escort is in

hello dear
Recently the state Government of Punjab has introduced the promotion quota
for persons with disabilities. At present I don't have the copy of that
order but it came after order by the Hon'ble High court of Punjab and
Haryana. And, some of the departments of Government of Punjab have initiated
the process of promoting persons with disabilities and PWDs are in the
promotion lists released by the departments.

Re: [AI] Am i eligible for Programming Jobs in SAIL and ONGC

2011-07-29 Thread Deepak Kumar Singla

Hi Dear
Its true as SAIL is offering Technical post only to OH candidates and
candidates with visual impairment are not eligible to apply for the post.

Last year, the same happened to me, as I want to apply for the post of
management trainee (administration) but they didn't allow me to apply. I
approached the Office of Chief Commissioner for persons with Disabilities
and submitted my concern. After hearing both the parties the Hon'ble Chief
Commissioner for PWDs instructed SAIL to fill up back log vacancies for PWDs
within three months and subsequently sent the list of successful candidates
to the O/OCCPD. In fact, this year SAIL is allowing visually impaired
persons in Management Trainee (Administration ) post. So, do one thing, send
your concern to the Chief Commissioner for PWD and request them to ask the
SAIL authorities to allow Visually Impaired candidates to apply for the post
of Management Trainee (Technical) post.

SAIL argued that Technical posts are not identified for visually impaired
persons but when the posts were identified for PWDs it was also mentioned
that the list is not exhaustive and with the advancement of technology more
posts should also be included in the identified list of posts. And, today
many of our respected seniors are working at very high positions as they
have expertise in the technical field. So there should be no such clause
that visually impaired candidates can not apply for the post of Management
Trainee (Technical).

Similar is the case of ONGC, they are having around 147 persons with
disabilities but only 9 of them are visually impaired persons and they are
also not interested in taking visually impaired persons as their work force.
And, they are claiming to have fulfilled the 1% reservation for visually
impaired candidates by taking only 9 persons out of a total of 147. I am
not able to understand their calculations!

So, i suggest you to approach CCPD with your concern.

Thanks
Deepak Singla

Subject: [AI] Am i eligible for Programming Jobs in SAIL and ONGC

Dear friends ,
I have given final semester exams for MCA (MASTER OF
COMPUTER APPLICATION) from IGNOU .I am a visually impaired person . i
recently applied for the vacancies for the openings in SAIL as
Management
trainee (Technical) and ONGC as Graduate Trainee (Engineer). But you
will

be surprised to know that I was not even able to submit the form , Inspite
of having , filled up the challan ! .
Both forms were rejected online .Both say that that they are providing
the

reservations as per PWD ACT 1995.
click the following links for ADVERTISEMENT ..
ONGC
http://ongcgt11.in/

and
SAIL
http://sail.shine.com/
http://119.226.214.34/SAIL/onlineform/

But when i read the advertisement , I read Only HH (hearing handicapped )
is allowed for the reservation in that category , When the law clearly
mentions that their is 3% reservation for the PWD (persons with
disability ) 1 % for each category. Now if you understand , what i am
talking about , can somebody please answer me few questiosn .and
if

possible me with a proper solution :_
1. Is a person VH (low vision (Not blind )), not suitable for a
programming

job?
2. I am finding myself to be the lone person in this situation
,am i the only one who is going through this situation .
3. Ok , tell me if a company is hiring you as a Management Trainee or
a
Graduate Trainee for say 2 years .after that they have and will
give

anyone with a permanent designation say (Junior Engineer, system Engineer,
., etc ). So is it not a discrimination to not hiring a
person

just because he has weak eyes Can't you hire for some other
programming related job ?
4. Is all my years of HardWork and Effoerts for coming upto a level
after

clearing 10th then 12th ..then BSc (Computer Science ) and finally MCA
...all in goes Vain ? Tell me how many persons with this
disability

, come this for ? Am i not even eligible to appear for appearing in the
first round (Written Exam ) ? ..leave about ever clearing the
interview ..
5. Both SAIL and ONGC are Government sector companies , so if this is the
case with Government sector companies , the companies who call themselves
"EQUAL OPPORTUNITY COMPANY " , what about the private sector
.

6. I have neither the energy nor patience to fight this discrimination
...Any Good suggestion or possible Legal opinion ? ...may be
similar to this one , which goes in my favour !
7. No single person can fight the whole system ..If this has
happened with me today perhaps it may happen to anyone ..
Just think about a person , who while completing his degree In computers
...
say BE (Computer ) or MCA , OR MSC (C S ) looses his vision partially due
to may
