Re: [AI] Help with iOS update

2019-02-05 Thread Rajashekhar, Shekhar
Please don't do it, if you don't know the password and if you wants to get the
back up from your icloud it will be a mess again.

Try giving the password you remember and try to upgrade, if that doesn't work
the only option is to use your phone with existing one.

Hi
To my understanding, Adhar will not be a mandatory document for Banking, mobile
etc. However, I suppose, it will be one of the acceptable document for availing
these services.

Legal experts pl fill me in how the situation changes now?

If in case, I voluntarily want to link my mobile number with Adhar, can I not
do so?

Press Statement

The National Platform for the Rights of the Disabled (NPRD) expresses its
severe disappointment at the verdict delivered by the Supreme Court in the
Aadhar related matters today.

The majority judgment read out by Justice Sikri has held that Aadhar is
mandatory for availing facilities and entitlements under different government
schemes. This would in effect mean that thousands of disabled persons would be
continued to be denied pensions and benefits of other social security schemes.

Apart from other concerns, for the disabled enrollment itself has been a major
problem. Biometrics has been an issue.Even though there are provisions in the
Aadhaar framework to use just one biometric for those with disabilities —
either the iris or the fingerprints — many centres and operators are either
oblivious of this provision or are not adequately trained to handle this. There
have been innumerable instances where the applicants get an acknowledgement but
the authentication is rejected at the main server level.

Unfortunately, the majority judgment of the Supreme Court does not take these
concerns into consideration.

Geetha Ma'am,

I would beg to slightly differ here. I think the view that you have outlined is
on the exact opposite end of the spectrum from the view that Arnab seems to
espouse. The best approach lies somewhere in the middle. I think having a
limiting disability is a supervening challenge which requires oodles of grit,
optimism and courage to deal with. Was it as easy for Ashish to go to Warten or
to work at JP Morgan as his sighted counterparts? Surely not.

At the same time, my view is that they should not be deified or praised in a
way that comes across as patronizing. This can be done by demystifying their
challenges and asking more informed questions, as others have noted.

 The Smart Wallet
 BY MAMTA SHARMA
EARLY THIS YEAR, when I moved from Mumbai to Chennai, language
posed a great barrier. It was difficult to call a cab and pay for a
 ride without help.
Then Ola Money, the taxi-hailing company Ola's digital wallet app,
saved the day. I simply had to load it with money using net banking
or my credit/debit card, and the app was ready to go. On reaching
my destination, I paid my fare digitally. It was instant and
without the hassles of swiping my card, keying in a 16-digitnumber
or logging on to a bank's website involving OTPs.
I soon learnt this wallet could do much more-it could help pay
phone bills, book flight tickets, order a pizza and even transfer
money to another Ola Money account.

hello all,
this is Rejin from cochin university of science& technology. here a group of
students are trying to solve the problems faced by physically challenged
travellers in our country.
we are planning to start a project regarding this topic. it is a computer
science based project. so I request your suggestions to make use of the
current technologies like (smart phones, centralised location systems, digital
wallets etc) to make our public transportation facilities much more accessible
for the physically challenged travellers.
this can include trains, metro's and bus. we shall try to come up with a
universal solution for revamping the public transportation facilities in our
country.
we can also share if any technology is currently implemented in other countries.
suggestions can be inclusive for all kind of disabilities.
either come up with a suggestion or please mention the problems we use to face
while travelling by train, metro or bus.
we can also mention the problems in current facilities or technologies in our
country that should be modified.

kindly spent a little time for this..!

Thanks and regards

ignorance’ among people is a big mistake

Demonetisation challenge: Govt underestimating ‘digital ignorance’ among people
is a big mistake
By Shishir Tripathi

On 8 November, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the demonetisation
of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, it was projected and seen as a big blow to
unaccounted wealth and black money. In the following weeks as the images of
long queues across the country started emerging; challenging the “good
intention” of the government, another narrative was put in place to soothe the
common man who was at the receiving end.

On 13 November, the prime minister while speaking at the foundation stone
laying ceremony of the Mopa airport in Goa, made an emotional appeal to the
citizens to bear the “pain” for “50 days” to help him deliver the “India of
your dreams”.

An emotional Modi had said, “I promise you, I will give you the India of your
dreams… If someone faces a problem, I also feel the pain. I understand their
problem but this is only for 50 days.”

A narrative was build: The pain that people were facing was short-term which
will yield wondrous long-term results. As weeks passed, demonetisation which
was essentially seen as an attack on black money, was gradually projected as an
attempt to make India a cashless economy.

On 15 December Modi came up with two schemes named Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi
Dhan Vyapar Yojana to incentivise cashless transactions. In a series of tweets,
Modi said the schemes "will further incentivise digital payments" and it would
be a big boost in the move towards "cashless and corruption-free India"

The two schemes would cover small transactions between Rs 50 and Rs 3,000 to
encourage every section of the society to move towards digital payments.

India is now being seen as moving towards a cashless economy. It raises an
important question: Are people prepared to embrace this new way of life?

Consider these scenarios of people juggling with their new life in a 'cashless
economy' that also highlight the sticking points in our digital edifice.

Case 1: In Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district, a man enters a store selling VIP
bags. After selecting his product, he asks the shop owner whether he accepts
debit or credit cards. The store owner reluctantly replies in affirmative and
takes the card from the customer. He swipes the card and punches the amount.
The bill is produced and it is a happy ending.

Welcome to ‘Digital India’.

But the story has an anticlimax. As the man leaves the store, he is stopped by
the owner. The store owner reveals to the customer that instead of the actual
payment of Rs 6,600, by mistake he punched only Rs 66. The customer looks upset
and amused at the same time. He asks a simple question: What if by mistake one
extra zero was pressed?

The store owner replies, “This is new to us. You cannot expect us to learn all
this in a day. It has been thrust upon us without giving us the time to get use
to it."

Case 2: Atul, who runs a canteen in one of the offices in Noida, Uttar Pradesh,
is struggling daily to get stable supply. He says, “Paytm and all are good, but
there are many issues. Firstly, while I can accept the payment through Paytm,
not everyone, from a vegetable seller to the milkman, knows about this. They
just want cash."

He adds, “I too am facing problem with Paytm. It allows me to transfer up to Rs
25,000 in a month whereas I am receiving much more in my account. As I cannot
transfer the rest of the money in my bank account, I am also incurring loss of
interest (Paytm website confirms this cap)

Case 3: A person books a private airlines flight using Paytm wallet and his
ICICI debit card. The flight gets cancelled due to bad weather. The man calls
up the airlines for the refund. He is told that as he has made the booking
through a travel portal, he should contact the portal for the refund. Fair
enough. The man calls up the portal and is told by the portal that as he has
made the payment through Paytm, he should contact Paytm for the same. The man
calls Paytm and is informed that the payment was made using ICICI debit card so
he should call the bank. The bank, in turn, asks the customer to call Paytm.
After much of argument, Paytm accepts that the amount will be refunded in 72
hours.

A happy ending may be? No, this story too has an anticlimax. Four days have
passed and the man is waiting for his ref

I think we got to be smart enough in choosing payment gateways, most of them
are sending OTP to users phone for security reason.

Hi,

Its not about what we don't have, how are we going to improve, for example
telecom networks are not providing good network if we all start using there
is no option than providing good network.
If more people are not using internet or any other mode, then this is the
time to make them upgrade. If people don't want to upgrade themselves, some
one has to force them to upgrade.
This is just my opinion, more over cashless like online transaction and
using mobile apps is most safe and convenient for people with vision
impairment.

Cash vs Digital Money: why going cashless is going to be tough in India

By Nikhil Pahwa
At the end of a panel at "Startup India Standup India", adequately named
"Disruptive Power of Technology in Financial Inclusion", the panelists,
which included Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Eko Founder and CEO Abhishek
Sinha, and Ispirt's Sharad Sharma, pledged to make India a cashless economy.
That was January 16th, 2016, and nearly 10 months later, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi, put disruption into the financial payments space, with the
move to remove (and gradually recycle) 86% of the cash in the Indian
economy. The government's narrative surrounding demonetization has changed
frequently since then: first it was an attack on black money, then about
addressing funding of terrorism, but the latest pitch, for a move that
reportedly has seen people die, is that it moves people towards a cashless
economy; what Venkaiah Naidu, the Union Minister for Urban Development and
Information and Broadcasting, also referred to today as a "Cultural
Revolution", entailing, to quote him, a "behavioural modification".
But how ready up are we to go cashless? How affordable is it for people to
go cashless?

Our contention here is that there is no parity between Cash and Digital
Money: a rupee paid by cash is far more convenient for a user, and affords
less costs, as compared to a cashless system:

Infrastructure Issues

1. Number of citizens on mobile: Not all Indians are mobile, leave alone
connected. The latest figures from the Indian telecom regulator TRAI show
that, as of 31st July 2016 (pdf): India had a teledensity of 83%, with
Bihar, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with teledensity of less than
70%. While state-wise data for wireless teledensity is not available, it
won't be very different, since most connections in India are wireless. Note
that these are number of connections, not users, so you will have to
discount this significantly, because many users have multiple SIM cards.
Proof: Delhi has a teledensity of 234.77%. Urban wireless teledensity is
148%, and rural is 50.72%. Even of the 1,034.23 million connections, 88.88%
are active.

So do we have enough people with mobile connections in India? Not close to a
billion, especially in rural India.

2. Number of mobile users who are connected to the Internet: There were
342.65 million Internet connections by the end of March 2016, of which 20.44
million were wired connections. In total, 149.75 million were on broadband
(3G + 4G + wireline broadband) and 192.9 million on "Narrowband". Narrowband
Internet subscriber base was 192.90 million (2G and wireline broadband).
Click here for statewise broadband and narrowband data.

For the top four telecom operators, the number of mobile connections that
are data enabled in a manner that is more than 1mb or more than 10mb per
month is around 30%.

So do we have enough people with mobile connections in India who have an
Internet connection? Not close to a billion.

3. How many people are online daily? These are connections. How many are
online monthly? According to Facebook India MD Umang Bedi, 165 million log

Any bank should give ATM on the day you open the account, HDFC is fairly
accessible with firefox and IOS. Not sure about android.
Insta ATM will not be having your name, and the other ATM which you will get
only after 1week will have your name printed, I have used both but didn't come

Hope this information helps you.

android mconnect mobile banking app.
