[AI] Driving invalid carriage by normal license holder
Dear all I have a doubt that whether invalid carriage 4 wheeler car can be driven by normal person?. What is the rule or act says? I am having left lower limb disabled and recently purchased a car. I have applied for learner license and got it. After one month when I went for Driving licence test, the car was driven by my colleague who has normal 4 wheeler driving license . However, motor vehicle inspector started shouting at us saying that the car should not be driven by normal licence holder and threatened that he will fine 1500 for driving the invalid carriage car. I want to know that what is the rule position says? . After i get DL suppose if I want to go to some place and suddenly fall sick, i need to hire a driver who has normal driving license and get back to my home. Whether this is wrong as per law? Can anyone have knowledge on this? Re: [AI] Questions regarding tax relaxations when buying a car
dear all I have recently purchased a car for my own use. i am with left leg disability due to polio. i am not much aware of things about visual impaired person buying a car with concessions. however i got following the tax relaxations. 1. after the GST introduction, the excise duty relaxation is replaced with GST concession. to avail the GST concession (10%) from 28% for normal people to 18% for PWD you keed to apply to department of heavy industries. in their website it is in detail guidelines are given how to get the concession. 2. 50% less premium for insurance 3. Road tax exemption ( it is available in Karnataka state, in Bangalore i have availed this concession) the point is to get GST concession they have mentioned (Link : https://dhi.nic.in/writereaddata/UploadFile/guidlines_for_issue_of_GST_concession636610330602264535.PDF), it is for persons with physical disabilities. similarly car means it has to fulfill any of these requirements a) Cars being able to be driven by the physically handicapped; or b) Cars which has been suitably designed to be able to be driven by physically handicapped; or c) Cars meant for physically handicapped which in most cases reflect car need to be driven by PWD. however they require medical certificate as per the format in annexure B states that any of 4 following conditions the doctor need to give his certificate to avail the GST, which is 1. His disability is such that he can use the car only with assistance driver. 2.His disability is such that he can drive the car with automated transmission only 3. His disability is such that he can drive any car (Manual as well as Automated transmission) inspite of above mentioned disability 4. His disability is such that he can drive the car provided car can be suitably modified with necessary retrofitted device i dont know but still you can enquire above the first point where you can get medicate certificate to avail the GST concession, but again we need to enquire about definition of car ( points) where VH person are fitting into it. regarding GST concession, you can write a mail to under secretary to get clarifications. cheers Tamil Selvan On Wed, Oct 31, 2018 at 10:34 PM Arjun Malhotra wrote: > Mr. Bhawani, > The issue was not whether there tax exemption should be granted or > not. [AI] new Railway ID card
Dear Friends, I am Tamil Selvan from bangalore. I want to get new Railway ID card so that i can book it in IRCTC. can anyone tell me how to get new Railway ID Card in Bangalore. I am 60% orthopaedically disabled post polio residual paralysis. Previously when i approached the government doctor for railway concession certificate he told that i am not eligible for certificate as i can walk without the assistance of escort. but now i heard that with highcourt judgement we can travel/book ticket even without the escort also. but to book the ticket with new railway ID card, and to get new railway ID card i think we need to produce the concession certificate issued by ortho surgeon from government hospital. in this situtation how can i get new ID card? can anyone suggest how to go about this. thanks R.P.
